Really strange because if % it would be pretty high % going from 6 to 1...
The Catuars are also not hitting me for much less, if any. Blue magic skill appears to have no effect on the potency, as with 456 skill it reduced 1000 needles to 850, and with 412 I got the same exact result. (412 is as low as I could get)
Does windower work with test server?
No, you can't access the test server "Play" button with windower.

Can you at least use official windowed mode? Would suck not to have access to the rest of my computer during the testing.
Yes you can use official window mode. Note that you'll have to go into your Test Server folder and use the FFXI Config in there, as it's separate from the real FFXI client.

I doubt it would be that hard to get XI test to run with windower. Reckon a fix in less than 2-3 days.

I admit I can't imagine playing w/o windower on anything beside MNK maybe and even then hitting 2 macros to change equip for something and 2 macros again to go back to previous set would kill me in less than hour.
half of my macros would be useless without windower.

It's still horrible on MNK, especially if you have different sets for different things, which I did.

^ This for sure. I played on xbox for years and once I discovered how much better these macros were alone, I never went back.

I know its horrible. MNK is my main and I have stuff for everything but what I meant is that you can fire off most /ja manually on MNK w/o a problem and there is no spells and between most used equip sets TP and WS you have only difference in head,neck,hands,legs (and sometimes waist and maybe one earring) which means you can make a one macro for WS and one for TP ( If I remember correctly that there is a limit of 6 lines in FFXI macros? On most other melee jobs you need to change almost whole equip and you would need to turn on 2 macros for TP and 2 for WS.
I also prefer windower macros using aliases over spellcast for melee jobs.

Water Bomb dINT*1.5, 20% INT 10% MND, 2fTP
Phalanx overwrites Barrier Tusk, but Barrier Tusk cannot overwrite Phalanx. (This is with no enhancing skill+)
With Barrier Tusk + Terra's Staff, 1000 needles did 680.
Barrier Tusk + 44% PDT, 1000 needles did 487.
Looks like a 15% reduction that's added after PDT.
When you get onto the test server Wolf we should meet up and make out for sure.

Me and sevc, flion etc can all hold hands and pos hack on top of things, and buy gil even though we already have 100m

Not to be rude but Phalanx is not a % but a direct damage mitigation. (ie: -22 Points of Damage removed per hit.) If you want a better view on how BT is working, I would use the same gear on 1000 Needles and only change Barrier Tusk.

It's not as good as it sounds really @@ it's actually better if you have less than capped PDT
@Inuyushi: Yes, I know how Phalanx works. I also have half a brain and can surmise that phalanx is not removing 150 dmg from 1000 needles and that if it was a real phalanx effect it would completely mitigate the 6 dmg from blaze spikes. This wouldn't be the first time they've augmented a spell effect for us to *** us over
