Cartoons today don't seem to have any plot, any identifiable protagnists/antoganists...I can't stand Ben-10. My kids love it. I just can't relate.
If only cartoons were as good as they used to be. Post the best cartoons you grew up watching.
and the cartoon that inspired a lot of the FF series of games;
and the ending theme which makes me feel nostalgic.
I too would have listed Samurai Pizza Cats, but it debuted in 1990 unfortunately. Still, it holds the same qualifications as 80s shows would as far as animation and sense of entertainment goes.
The only shows worth mentioning from the 80s that weren't blatant toy commercials were animated in Japan.
Mostly everything from Inspector Gadget to Dinosaucers, to the opening intros to Thundercats and Silverhawks were done by Japanese studios.
Somewhat related, many og the G1 Transformer designs were handled by the same man who worked on Macross/Robotech, and would go on to direct many things. On the side of video games, he designed the first generation Armored Cores.
I'm so going to watch my VHS collection now, ty lol
You did that collection too? XD *has all 255 tapes*
I used to have a "sanctuary shelf" with DB stuff, from VHS to DVDs, from the Italian manga collection to original volumes, collection books, posters. I was a total DB nerd lol

Btw, Ken Shiro was epic(and the italian title song is still one of the best ever made).

Japan was almost never credited during this time.
Tell your teacher I can't exit the mall without my two sons being bombarded with frickin Ben-Ten advertisements. That Omnitracks thing, his watch, my kids have like 5 different versions of them. Every time they add a new monster to Ben 10's arsenal, a new toy comes out with it as a sticker on the watch and my son's feel like they gotta have it. I never said no to anything as much as I have said no to that damn watch!
