Yeah, nothing. No sword, armor, atma, brew or anything will allow you to pass the 50% cap with the sole exception of Burtgang. And that will only get you 18 over with a 99.

Actually... I lied, the JA sentinel will but it's a decaying thing that doesn't last very long.

Pdt caps at 87.5% yeah but only burtgang or pet mobs can surpass 50% so you'd need 37.5% pdt on that sword to cap as pld, will probably never happen

But yeah it's easy for an aegis pld to reach 50%pdt 87.5% mdt at the same time sure.
how is 50% + 18% = 87.5%? PDT caps at 50 normally, 99 burtgang surpasses that cap to give a max of 68% PDT, you guys need to stop lettin Slobchan do math for you :(

I am no where near a main PLD, but I play it here and there. Looking online for Defensive calculators, and found 2.

Everything Else PLD Calc

and of course...

Google Drive

DPS Calc near the top and scroll to bottom of page for Defensive one.

Not qualified to say what? That the cap is 87.5%?

Correct. From what I can see, it's assumed the cap is 87.5% due to the magic cap being 87.5%. As 87.5% PDT doesn't exist, and nobody here has seen the server source(to my knowledge), it's a bit silly to say that it's the cap. While it's probable it was programmed that way, at this point in time nobody can substantiate it.

Pet's pdt cap with atma and gear is 87.5% so it works with pdt and mdt.

I'll agree that players can't exceed 68% and it's possible that the global cap isn't 87.5 but every evidence we have points toward it. I don't see any reason to pick at that until something comes along that disproves it.

If you recall, when the fix was made, it messed up limbus mobs that were suppose to have 100% resistance to various damage types by making it so those resistances were capped at 87.5. Now, this was fixed, because limbus mobs were suppose to do that but to me, that's fairly decent evidence that we are dealing with a global cap and SE just forgot to put an exception in the code for these special mobs.

It's just a bit absurd to list it as fact when it's not only irrelevant due to being impossible to reach, but completely unproven and currently unprovable. Nobody is saying it's NOT 87.5, it's just ridiculous to say it is.

Should Note that Sharur+Realrazer is 10%~15% better then Bura in terms of doing DMG, but when REM get Lv119 idk if that will hold up still

I noted that in the guide, last comment under weapons. The Realrazer set isn't that hard to make and people can use it should they choose.

A good Pld would probably want to have both to cover slashing/blunt mobs anyways.

And after RME update, the order should be:

1. Burtgang with AM3 + CDC.

2. Excal with CDC.

3. Almace.

4. Then everything else.

Excal will be better for DPS in situations where you can't maintain Burtgang's AM3, but I'm pretty stoked to see Burtgang at the top of DPS and Damage Mitigation.

Once CDC becomes accessible on other weapons, it will be superior to Req by a pretty decent margin on anything that doesn't resist physical.

Ratio would have to be pretty abysmal for CDC to edge out Requiescat. It's unlikely to win unless you're soloing IT+ enemies

Are you using Moten's spreadsheet? What gear, buffs, weapons, and targets are you using? I'm not seeing Req beating CDC on anything that doesn't resist physical.

Based on? Requiescat's fTP and WSC are significantly higher. Crits don't make that much of a difference

For PLD I can believe CDC being superior to Req, since the likelihood of a Paladin reaching the attack threshold that makes Req better is not very high. All told, however, Requiescat is the superior weaponskill. Just for actual DDs.
