Why does everyone seem to dislike Snivy? To me he looks like the coolest dude who doesn't afraid of anything.

Anime Milwakee will have a "Pokemon League" tournament going where con goers must collect 24 badges then defeat the con's "Elite Four" to win. The following Pokemon (and any alternate forme they could take) are banned from the tournament...

And as far as abilities go...
-The ability Moody is banned.
-Blaziken cannot have the ability speed boost.
-There cannot be Pokémon with the abilities drizzle and swift swim on the same team.
-Any hidden ability not released by Nintendo at the time of the tournament cannot be used.
-Pokémon can only use moves and abilities that they could legitimately know. For example, Venasuar cannot have the ability Chlorophyll and the move Ingrain because there's no legitimate way of doing so. (lolwut? Mother Venasuar with hidden ability + father with ingrain... Unless I'm missing something here.)

I believe they're going with Smogon's OU tournament ban list; all Uber tier pokemon banned. And I guess Garchomp is banned because of his Sand Veil effect...

Pokemon tend to get banned from metagames by Smogon's standards when said Pokemon is such a threat that teams have to go out of their way to prepare for that one specific Pokemon or watch helplessly as it rips them to shreds. In the case of Excadrill, one of its non-Dream World abilities, Sand Rush, doubles its speed in a sandstorm. With sandstorm support, it is one of the fastest Pokemon in existence with not-shabby bulk (its HP saves it) and an extremely high attack rating and STAB with one of the best attack moves (Earthquake). It can even Swords Dance on top of all that!

OR Hone Claws to avoid missing.

Edit: Then bang on Fissure if your Pokemon is holding. You can OTK the other Pokemon if it works well and Sandstorm is still up.

This sounded intriguing, so I decided to Google around a bit to see how viable it is. It turns out that OHKO moves ignore accuracy and evasion modifiers.

Does anyone still chain for shiny pokemon in pearl in diamond? haven't played any of the recent ones .-.!

Well, that doesn't mean their evolutions won't have dual types. Wasn't Bulbasaur the only starting pokemon to have 2 types (at least after some point. I'm sure it probably started as Grass only in the game)? Also, how do people get Grass/Dark from the fact that he'll be able to learn Pin Missile...isn't that a Bug move?

Less to do with Pin Missle and more to do with the secondary types of the other two. If the types end up being Fire/Psychic and Water/Fighting, it means Grass/Dark would create a secondary trinity where your starter ends up getting an advantage over the starter they used to be weak to.
