New Ninetales is Ice/Fairy. Dragon killer.
It's time old Ninetales becomes Fire/Psychic. The new forms are ridiculous!!! Interesting that they're ice types. I wonder how many other old Pokemon will receive similar treatment.
Should've just given Ninetales a mega imo.
Oricorio is easily one of my new favorites. I like Pokemon with different forms and it's a dancer! Has a great ability to copy dragon/quiver/swords dance for free also.

I hope the new dancing bird doesn't suck. So many new forms! And not just new pokemon! It's exciting! Edit: With the 4 Island challenges, does that mean gym leaders aren't a thing in this region? Or is this an added feature? I have waited so long for variants like the Delta Species Pokemon to make it into the games. So happy right now. @_@
Also Alolan Sandshrew looks like he's wearing a comfy coat. It's adorable. Siren.Novadragon said: » New Pokemon Form called "Alola form", it's like Mega, but called Alola. Quote: Pokémon Adapted to the Alola Region Some Pokémon have adapted to the distinctive microclimates of the Alola region, taking on different forms than they have in other regions. These Pokémon are called regional variants. Taking root in the Alola region, they live like native Pokémon. Regional variant Pokémon can have different appearances and types, and their ways of living can also differ from that of the forms previously known. Ragnarok.Rydal said: » They look cute. Leon Kasai said: » It's nothing like Mega Evolution; they're just different forms only found in specific regions. They're basically like the slug things from B&W; just different from different areas, not mega. Still, if the new Ninetales is dual type, could this mean the old one will be dual type too? Fire/Psychic, Fire/Fairy, or maybe even Fire/Ghost?
Alola Sandshrew/Sandslash are Steel/Ice.
Possible we might get a fire-type Marowak.
Fire/Ground type you mean.
Another volcano Pokemon. Rhyhorn/don would be better suited for Ground/Fire or Rock/Fire. They LIVE in magma.
To be honest, Marowak could use a 3rd evolution.
I dig all of the things for the new games so far.
There's a White Tauros. Fairy type? Shiny Tauros is lime.
Edit: Possible Grass Type instead of fairy, it's fur tails are dark green except middle one is grey. Anyone else notice the Executor giving us the "awesome" troll face?
Looks like a normal Tauros to me.
Anna Ruthven said: » Looks like a normal Tauros to me. Edit: That white portion at the scruff might be part of the saddle. But going by the head and the horns, it's a different color. I've made it pretty clear that I'm a fan of Vulpix and Ninetales, this new form is cool but it brings to mind a few things; Alola-native Ninetales will be a dragon killer most likely with Ice/Fairy typing. My question is whether or not they will boost the Kanto-native Ninetales too, possibly add a subtype.
I think a few things should be added to the old Ninetales, for starters Fire/Ghost typing. Ice/Fairy sounds pretty squishy or brittle to me but to counter that, giving old Ninetales /Ghost adds defensive capabilities against Fighting and Normal as well as immunity to traps. New = glass cannon, old = evasive tank. They'd counter each other. Ghost subtyping would also fit in with the kitsuné reference as the legends speak of a fire wielding spirit fox. Additionally, it'd be nice to see the following moves added to Ninetales: Curse: Ninetales are said to place curses and be vengeful, they get Grudge and Hex but no Curse? Added Ghost effect with subtype. Night Shade: Ninetales is shown in the anime to be capable of projecting illusions, which is what Night Shade is; a scary illusion. Shadow Claw: Token physical attack. Shadow Ball: I thought Ninetales got this in Generation 2 but I'm not sure why it doesn't. No real reason for this, just no real reason not to. Much more hyped for the sandshrew/sandslash, since he was my fav on the original R/B, a mean crit machine.
If they add a subtype to Ninetails, it's got to counter it's Aloha form.
Ice/Fairy vs. Fire, Fire always win. So, to counter it, it needs something that ice and fairy can take out, which is dragon. I "could" see it getting a dragon subtype, but it doesn't feel dragony to me. Maybe ground? Fire/Ghost may work. I don't remember, is Fairy type super against Ghost? I know Fairy isn't effective against Fire. Asura.Kingnobody said: » If they add a subtype to Ninetails, it's got to counter it's Aloha form. Ice/Fairy vs. Fire, Fire always win. Icetales is superior offensively. Defensively...
New Ninetales vs Bullet Punch That Tauros is definitely a different color than normal/shiny I think the Tauros' color is just due to art style and shading.

Ever since the advent of the Fairy type, Dragon isn't as powerful as it once was. Now we have another Dragon Killer, and this time, it's a dual killer? This typing will empower Rock types, especially Stealth Rock users, more. Don't pretend like dragons went from strongest type to weakest. Dragons still dominate Pokemon. Most of them just have to carry Poison or Steel moves to make sure they're not getting their day wrecked. Dragonite, Salamence, pretty much every dragon legendary are all still powerhouses.
