They teach you how to use your leg muscles better not to mention they look awesome lol. I don't own a pair cause I'm caught up in other expenses atm but I've used my brothers.

Leviathan.Angelskiss said: Is there a NYC marathon that maybe is do-able *thinking east coast here* or you primarily staying West coast? Not sure tbh. For now just West Coast for sure though cause I'm a poor college student lol :( When I can afford it though I'd def love to travel to run in different states. Leviathan.Angelskiss

Those are the kind my brother has, they're comfortable. When I decide to pick some up though I'm going to head to Sports Chalet and just try them all on and go for a little run around the store with them lol. I don't like buying things like shoes and stuff online :/

Which coming from a small town that MAY be do-able~ Leviathan.Powerslave

D: Maybe take a 90 mile jog for fun? lol. I'm sure the sprint would be just fine though, cause it's one of the more standard models. Could probably just return it if it doesn't fit or something.
What I reallly want is a Garmin 305 GPS watch. Tells you all sorts of stats while you're running/biking/swimming/whatever the hell you like doing. Reason I really want it though is cause the GPS pretty accurately gives you the distance and your pace. I really really want it for when I start training in July for the SC Marathon so I can practice at the pace I want to try and finish with. Leviathan.Angelskiss

They are pretty cool, only thing they advise you to be careful with is to run a lot less with them than you normally do with shoes on and then gradually increase since running with them is essentially running barefoot. A bought a pair of Brooks GTS11 like 2 weeks before the Marathon and put like 50 miles on them to break them in, I love them. I had a pair of reebok Zigtechs before but they sucked. I learned to buy my shoes from a running store, not footlocker or one of those places, and how important it is that you determine your arch-type and which way your feet pronate and choose your shoes accordingly, not based on which shoes look coolest which is how I used to pick mine out lol >.>

1` ask for both sizes
2 ask for two sizes of another shoe 3 when clerk walks away swap shoe u need 4 walk away with comfortable shoes! ~.~ not sure why its such a big deal, I should be able to wear shoes that fit proper, as should every one else. Had a clerk say i needed to buy both sizes..... WHAT Edit: course i pay for my pair- just a missized pair is all ~ It's a big deal because you are basically using up both pairs of shoes and only paying for one.
