You have to increase your proficiency with them, most of the high-end weapons start with low damage but will skyrocket once you cap them off. Also keep in mind that some of the big-star weapons have built-in bonuses, like increased reach and things like that.
Makes sense, yo. Zhou Tai is getting a giant scalpel now.

Jos, my shots always do that damage. I'm awesome.

I don't have the numbers in front of me but it goes kinda like this.

One star weapon
Base 24, +10 Max Proficiency

Big Star Weapon
Base 12, +65 Max Proficiency

The base is lower but once you level the weapon up the bonuses make up for it.

Yeah, once your bonds are high enough they will just give you weapons after battles, and more lottery tickets.

Long sleeves have been used in a few martial arts movies I have seen before, they seem to be pretty interesting when used as a weapon.

If I am not mistaken the lore behind her is that she based on probably the biggest loser hero ever. If I remember right she (he in the traditional story) is chosen to go on some crazy *** quest, but she is pretty much useless and gets herself caught all the time. Luckily she is being accompanied by Sun Wukong(aka Son Goku apparently) and a few other demons etc who always manage to rescue her.

I will point out that my knowledge on the subject is largely based on the episode of Love Hina where they put on a play about the journey west and a quick look at wikipedia.

I think the game "Saiyuki: A Journey west" on PS1 is about their story. Made me laugh when I rescued her and the demon leader dude said "don't let him escape." xD I haven't had a chance to use her but I imagine her sleeves get really dirty. :I

There was actually something in the Love Hina episode as well about the role of Xuanzang (San Zang) being a role traditionally played by a male.

When the episode started Keitaro had the role, being that he was clumsy and helpless it was an easy enough job for him, but it was decided that a female should instead do it and so Naru filled in.

Yay for fanservice.

Woa, yesterday Aly posted about getting a bird, and thismorning someone on facebook posted "i miss this little cutie!! :)" with pics of the same kind of bird.... I'm not really going anywhere with this I just thought it was in interesting coincidence for some reason.

I don't think they would have had a :) in their post if their bird was stolen. Unless it was sacasm and the bird was possessed by a demon and is now terrorizing Aly and slowly siphoning off her soul...

I was probably just going to get one of those betta fish, they're small, easy to maintain, and ... uh ... they look pretty?
