I knew that they increased skillup rate, but this is still ridiculous. I'm not used to having the weapon AND evasion capped before leveling up.
the increased evasion helps to guarantee you never get a chance to parry or guard.

I've been tempted to come back to XI for a month or so to maybe finish up a few jobs (read, just leech them up :p) but meh, that would get boring as hell after a while...
I thought some of you might be able to appreciate this.
I've been saying that I was going to give both FFXI and FFXIV a chance with all of the recent updates. I figured this was as good of a time as any.

I like xiv a bit more right now since it's still new and fresh and is still fun.

I got an e-mail for Rift about the new merit type system they implemented. I'm really curious about it, and I may end up signing in before the weekend is over.
I still need to get my guy to 50 on rift lol, I think I have a few months left on my subscription for it.
Put a dent in the damn spiders i need for my fire staff. Only need about 96 more. I can only grind that stuff for so long though. That's why it takes me 6 months to finish anything.
A friend had recently donated a buddy pass to me for FFXIV. I was stuck at the character creation for a good hour or two, and the majority of it was trying to think of a surname for my hume that didn't sound lame.
At some point I got fed up and made 'Ratie Baratey' just so I can get into playing the game. (The surname was to aid in the proper pronunciation as it's commonly mispronounced Ratty ><)
However, the name has yet to grow on me so now I'm back on the character name screen attempting to think of something better. :\

I just took a name from a book for my name in XIV XD
Leveled up. Sword and evasion capped on the second mob afterwards. Shield is even getting up there.
I don't know how I came up with my name for XIV :x but it seems to fit in lol.

Bah, forgot that they made your max number of fish dependent on character age.
