I'm back from work, but if you don't mind I wanted to further talk about the whole alpha/beta male thing in further detail.

Niniann, I completely understand the detriment of a guy that is downright smothering with their seemingly misguided affection hazed with possible ulterior motives or shrouded in numerous insecurities.
The thing is guys can be equally insecure as women are, as social norms stigmatize them with. If misguided benevolence in terms of unknowing insecurities and motives are the result of that, then I can't put too much fault on them compared to the alternative.
Putting your actions and words on an outside perspective is difficult enough, let alone from the opposite sex.

The problem I have with alpha males is though they have the charisma, confidence, and alluring personalities, the fact that they know exactly what they're doing and why yet still delivering the *** complex is what bothers me most.

You can have a guy that isn't sure about himself or his desires or where he fits in with another girl, or you can have guys that are simply aiming to add another notch to their belt. The fact that so many women willingly fall into such obvious traps bothers me a lot.
Would be better to go with a person that makes you happy and learn about them as you go than willingly put yourself through a personality struggle and hope there's some good therein to salvage.

Anyways, that's just my two cents on the whole deal. Perhaps I'm biased, because it is a bit obvious which of the two I fall into more so than the other.

My brain is too mush to really explain this well, however, I'll say a few things. Not all alphas are ***. If I had the choice of an *** alpha, or an insecure, nice beta, I'd be forever-alone.

You can't 'fix' people. People can only fix themselves, so if you're going with an insecure beta thinking that they'll magically metamorphose into some really nice alpha dude, that's not going to happen. Or at least you're not going to be the one to fix them, they have to do it on their own.

And I'm especially not going to go into a relationship with them as-is. The problem with insecurities, is a bunch of stuff happens. They feel they're not good enough for you, and constantly think you're going to cheat on them because of that. Even if you actually like them as-is, their insecurities will get the best of the relationship and it'll ultimately fail.

I guess my point is, I'm not going to date someone unless they're ready for a relationship.
