Any and all customer facing jobs are at best, miserable... because people are miserable, especially when they're customers.

Not all of them of course, people who have been waiters, cashiers, hostesses etc generally understand it's shitty to be a *** to staff.
(thats why all humans should have hospitality experience. It teaches you to be less of a ***)

IDK how well hospitality pays in Brazil but in the USA a good salary is not compatible with hospitality jobs.

Yeah that 6 month midseason break was a bad idea for sure. And not a lot happened in season two in general.

Bad decisions made all around on 2, faster season 3 with no mid-break and a meatier story hopefully.

Before subway, I would prefer McDonalds that should the around the same fat in the food, but I eat at it once a year. I would had one last sunday but it was so crowded that I gave up.

My first big challenge at work is to supposely upgrade an angular app from v14 to the latest.

At first i thought doing it the recommended way, by following the angular walkthrough, but that ***has dozens and dozens of steps. And im already having trouble with the app being broken whatever environment without the legacy dependencies. Trying to make it work have been so frustrating that i already changed my approach to trying to start from the latest base angular, and refactoring/migrating the old components to the new base.

Maybe im shooting my foot here, by trying to take this approach while still maturing my knowledge on the framework, also being too conceited for thinking the legacy code is being poorly written. But i feel like i can do a better job if i have enough time

So the 6.99 foot long with all the upgrade crap you can add to them now is like a 3.50 or 4.00 dollar footlong in 2004, when compared to back then. rough time to be a subway franchisee since the 5.00 price point was already killing them, nevermind even so drastically lower now.

if you want the most bang for your buck, the most calories you can get for that 6.99 pricepoint and min/max your spending versus fullness per dollar, this one wins the highest calorie ratio.

If you really want to exploit their ***, you can stack the deals by ordering one at a time as a guest on the website too.

I think the test that i took last sunday probably is the last one i will take without glasses.

It's a sandwich. Cook some meat and you're good to make your own for a week. Takes no time to throw a sandwich together, you get fresh veggies, skip the nitrates and other cancer causing *** in deli meat, and save money.

If you specifically order a chicken breast sub or something without preserved meat and avoid the oils and such, it's an improvement. If you order some form of deli meat, add chips on the side, and pile on oil/cheese it's functionally the same thing as a burger and fries. Maybe worse, since deli meats are more carcinogenic than ground beef patties. Never mind a stack of meat like some of JJs' offerings (just go to a real deli if you're in the mood for that anyway).

Dang, using a Windows Enterprise fully integrated with Intune and OneDrive, plus whatever the ***the company is using to "protect" my computer, is one of the worst experience ever.

You simply cant write anything there. I feel like typing one single letter triggers all the process of scanning and backing up to the cloud, resulting every single action to get my computer frozen with so much useless processing.

Yeah not an uncommon problem, the manufacturing tests system where I work can be crashed by IT tools doing their scans and in some case it is because they deliberately kill our process to access a file the process was using.

We have to continue ask them to schedule the scans after night shift but before day shift, which is window from 12am to 4am, They keep changing it randomly.

The IT team is the bane of my existence. They have rightfully been highlighted as the reason for a major revenue target miss multiple times, and every time we have a big "we have improved IT reliability" announcement but next Quarter we see the same problems, unstable network drives, kiosk accounts that get locked out, critical processes being interrupted resulting in damage product and equipment.

Outsourcing your IT to anywhere is a mistake, I don't know if an actual team owned by the company would do any better, but I can't imagine it being any worse.

I think my company problem is that the sellers go straight to the bosses before going to the technical team.

They start saying we need application X, Y, Z because security, the bosses that dont know better just order the technical team to implement the last week newest security software, what normally is done without proper preparation, so they just shove it on us at max restriction, loosening them on demand.

That so called “security by default”, “security by design” or whatever buzzword is trending

Company I work for that got bought by a new parent company is in the process if forcing that on our devs.

I already know its not gonna go well.
