Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
They have some good ones. I even tried looking up the artist themselves and couldn't find higher-resolution versions. It's too bad...

Cbd gummies have no psychoactive proponents, so you will be fine.
Damn, i didnt know that Ash was in coma since the beginning
Asura.Eiryl said: » I just saw a new guy, level 34, only his starter trust, never started records of eminence, trying to farm a magicked *** skull for TWO DAYS. Which he doesn't even need to do anymore. Starter trust? Is that the one you can customize appearance? No magicked skulls needed anymore? The starter from his city, kupipi, he didn't know how to get more and never started "first step forward"
You don't need to do the subjob quest anymore, rank 1 level 3+ can get it from rov and skip the hellfest that is farming magiked skull, another thing he didnt know. So this dude said he had spent two entire days farming the skull as a 34 rdm with 1 trust. Without ever turning on sparks or accolades. Offline

I was gone from FFXI for 11 years so when I came back 1.5 year ago, I had ALOT to catch up on. However, I did not just randomly assume that everything was the same as it was over a decade ago. As every player should, I did research on BG, clopedia and some on FFXIAH. So I knew about the RoE skip SJ stuff before I even made my new account.
tl;dr: Inform yourself before you waste time blindly guessing and hoping. I mean, yeah, everyone should know what they're getting into.
BUT. Square does a piss poor job of giving a start. That was fine for us, we chose to play a punishing game but it's not the same. You want to give a new guy every reason to stay and they just don't. Such a miserable experience. In the beginning it doesnt really matter how many people you make leave, but retention becomes the name of the game. That dude will probably be gone in a week, there's no reason to stick around. (which is his best option, just sayin) Sounds like he needs to get... PRIMED FOR ADVENTURE! (once every 3~4 months for 1~2 hours). Standard billing rates apply in the meantime.
In all seriousness though, I think I get a message on mules when I run around town and havn't started with the beginner primer NPC, flagged RoE, or started Assist chat. Like every time I change zones in a starter city after maybe level... 3~5? Not sure of the conditions. I know All For One messages pop up once I have 10 RoE complete. *shrugs* ...but yes. The game isn't intuitive. The same could be said for 14 and myself as I have tried a few times and I can't even begin to get started due to the controls from 11 being so different. WHY??!?!! (Guessing that the controls of 14 mirror whatever was popular at the time; WoW probably). I love a challenge, I start all games these days on hard mode because they just simply hold your hand too much. Such a shame those type of gamers are becoming the popular demographic...

Such a shame those type of gamers are becoming the popular demographic... Agreed. Perhaps silly example but I remember in KH1&2 the Hard mode being actually harder (certain optional bosses) and dying loads of times. When I tried KH3 a while ago I cleared it on hard with dying twice in the entire game. Kids nowadays need flashy animations and constant pats on the back for a lower performance than in our day. Sad times. I tend to start games on "normal" difficulty with the idea that it's the level intended for the story and immersion. I'd rather not get frustrated if it's too hard, but I also don't want to cleave through mountains of enemies that are supposed to be a problem.
If I like a game enough after beating it on the normal difficulty, I'll upgrade it to hard. If I'm struggling, I'd rather turn it down to easy rather than rip my controller in half and never finish the game. What bothers me is when the game hammers you with unintuitive tutorials, especially when they drag on for literally hours. And this goes double for a game that markets itself as any kind of open world or sandbox experience. I haaaaaaate it when games punish me for trying to just play around at my own pace. It's been... less than great lol. But still got me to watch all 10. But a supermeh finale. Offline

We seriously need more of those ppl IMO I learned much from dialogue amongst fellow players which turned my attention towards KillingIfrit, FFXIclopedia, BGwiki & ofc FFXIAH itself while I bet this guy is doing everything Solo w/o input minus others his own Level. I am an older player but I didn't "learn" the hard way. When I bought FFXI with my brother back in the day we enraged our father by printing out the entire mission/expansions logs and guides on the family printer (2 big binders full). All from good ol' Allakazham, KI, etc. Because we wanted to learn and prepare. Yes I know most players don't have that same prep attitude but some of us actually inform before logging in and spewing /yell full with lovely questions that can be answered in 3 secs by googling/looking on the XI sites. The amount of yells on Asura like that is insane. People /yelling to ask for the pos of a NPC in Bastok for like 15 minutes when every job has widescan now + you can google the pos. FFXI is at a pretty good point for QOL. While it would probably be nice to have a bit more direction to figure out where the next NPC is you need to speak to, I still abundantly prefer looking it up online to the alternative: chasing an exclamation mark.
