I have a third party one as well that is supposed to work on a LCD with a modded version of the game rom. Pretty sure it's in the same storage bin, but I'll check my entertainment center later, I may have thrown one in the cabinet, then I need to find the rom file again.

I had a 30"~ crt awhile back but it was dying so I threw it out, had an opportunity to get a PVM but missed it, will have to hunt around.

This is not right, the reason we don't have heated roads is that the amount of heat required to melt/keep ice off the roads is ridiculously high.

There is a video from about 10 years ago called "Solar Freaking Roadways" or something. but the reality is that solar roads wouldn't be able to generate enough heat to keep snow/ice off the road, and infact would probably make roads less safe as it would basically generate enough energe occasionally to coat the roads in a layer of constantly melting ice.

Kinda need to google ice ages dude... there isn't a place that's NEVER seen snow.. :P

I've never heard of that. Let me know how that pans out. I always knew it worked due to where the gun was aimed at the particular scanline. I guess that's where the modded comes into play. If that works, I know what I'm doing this weekend.

We're still in an ice age. "Ice age" just implies that there exists ice that never fully goes away. We still have glaciers in the north and south.

It pans out. There's a noticeable delay on the screen (can see the boxes that are normally hidden) but it worked on the first go, didn't even have to adjust the delay (I tried lowering it to reduce the visible difference, but it was unreliable).

I decided against the pocket for now, $400, for something I'd likely barely play isn't what I want to toss my CC at right now... Also not a huge fan of the artificial scarcity, and other ***marketing the company does. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I ever got save states working on my SuperNT.

I'd be glaring but I did indeed not check the TV settings.

I just need to break down and get a PVM and some component cables.

Pocket were $199 but now $219 due to supply chain cost increases. I still think that's a very fair price, especially if Kevtris jailbreaks it, which he's done for every Analogue console a week-ish after release. I understand it's not for everyone. Watching My Life In Gaming's video on it is what is making me want to order.

Uh, I guess it could be, but the entire premise behind the modded rom is to add in an adjustable delay for the third party zapper to pick up on, it apparently doesn't work with the native without modifying it.

I call BS on the "supploy chain cost increases" Analogue isn't known for being honest, and rather annoyed by their artificial limited productions. They've made more than enough at this point to constantly offer preorders for devices and fill when they have X amount instead of limiting them further to drive up demand. As for the Pocket itself, if I actually thought I'd play it, I'd be more interested but I'd rather have a decently made handheld that can do actual emulators and more buttons. About the same reason I didn't order the metal frame/upgraded screen for my advance SP. I don't watch "influencers" the concept makes me want to shake a cane.

I do have the SD2SNES (FxPak pro) but I don't recall if I ever got it working the way I wanted. Each of the everdrives I have just work. It's frustrating, I don't even know why I got the specific rompack to play chip games when I have the ones I really want physically. Probably because I wanted save states too and read that it was possible, idk.
