I'm still waiting for the ffxi yellow community, ffxi taru community to pop up since we gotta split up over stupid things.
Now the question is, should I learn it in my efforts to be a godly summoner in time, or do I sell it for 300k for immediate purposes?

use it. light spirit is very useful, and invalueable for a dedicated SMN
If you were really planing on becoming a smn, you'll regret selling it later.
Speaking of summoner I need input from self-proclaimed summoners and their view on Nirvana, and how much of an advantage does it hold in particular over existing, easier to obtain pieces.
yea Nirvana is worth it, dont have one myself but the math and reserch shows its one of the best staves for smn

Don't take it personally, the mods here seem very defensive of the LGBT community and who can blame them, any opportunity for somebody to implicate the site as being 'unfriendly' towards the LGBT community could create some serious trouble.
I was banned from the LBGT thread for questioning gay pride marches. I didn't insult anyone at the time either I simply questioned their ways. But you know, the mods do what they think is necessary and you just gotta respect that and move on.

So it'd be top choice for general perp cost since -4 trumps HQ staves by one. Also the 20 MAB with aftermath effects (assuming you hit 300%) cater heavily towards the merited nukes since their power depends on MAB and TP, with the whole increased atk/acc and OAT for avatars.

yea atm im at 25,000nyuzl points, still need captain rank, i have 1/3 beastmen done <got gurfurlur done on a shout> i finished ToAU and have Runic Key, need salvage clears, 3 znm items, Odin clear <i have 2 or 3 feathers missing highest tier before odin>, need eyepatch and the alexandrite. so yea im slowly working on it lol
