That's true but the problem is management moves in and out on a regular basis, so I never really have the same supervisor any more than a few months at a time.
But I could use the hours regardless.

Indeed, I know alot of people who say the same thing and it usually means they wake up at 2pm and check the local jobs column a few days later, say they will apply for a job then apply for it 5 weeks later.

Oh, I didn't actually get a job. I'm doing technical writing work for a company a bajillion miles away who liked the looks of my stuff. It's holding me over until I get a real job, but it's just projects and a pay-per-project job at the moment. Still much, much better than nothing! :-)

Well, hello thar!

Yeah, I was going nuts lol. I still kinda am, since the work I'm doing is at-home, but at least I'm waking up with something to do during the day besides eat potato chips and lurk the forums. ;; lol

I applied for a job I think I'd really enjoy yesterday. It's working at the library to repair book bindings. When I decided on an English major, I originally wanted to be a librarian, but I changed my mind partway through because I only wanted to work with books, not with people. That's exactly what this job would be, working to preserve books and staying away from people. But I don't know :/ I still want to go back to school and get a biology degree. Technical writing pays well, but it's not something I particularly enjoy. And library work would inevitably eventually turn into babysitting kids at their after-school library programs, same as every other librarian. Cool for the kids, but I'm not a people person.

soo...I told work that Id be available to work on tuesdays and saturdays because I have class all thursday and friday. Welp at the beginning of the week my school goes "sorry, we have a scheduling conflict with another school, need you all to show up on friday and saturday instead" I cursed up a storm and called work and they said that they couldnt replace me saturday so if I could just come in asap/whenever that'd be great and since I had thursday free..I offered to work then to make up time.

wednesday my teachers come back and go "jk, yall need you to come in tomorrow/thursday..sorry yall didnt know til now"

8| so I had to fudgin call into work again.

then on thursday my teachers go "lol, yall dont have class on saturday now, sorry bout this"

gonna shoot myself. We're short staffed at work..school unfortunately takes priority but its totally not cool to change your schedule multiple times. Also, I wonder if I should still go in early tomorrow at my normal time..idk..I dont really want to call and ask >.> lol
