I'd say give it a go... It is a shooter but there is alot more weight put on the rpg aspect and it works out well. Alot of pause and play goes on as well which I wasn't expecting since you can move your crosshair freely while its paused (well holding space bar, picks back up as soon as you releace) as well as giving orders to your squad and use your abilities. Leveling up is really rpgish as well.

Aye, Halo Reach was a pretty solid game. I thoroughly enjoyed online Co-op with friends, a good play.

Halo Reach has much much more to offer, it has the most solid multiplayer gameplay of any Halo game and superior to COD if not as popular, with many awesome new game types :) If you are not a FPS fan, try the multiplayer on Reach and it might just change your mind.
The single player is entertaining if not a bit predictable and I could never help shake the feeling that alot of the storyline lacked the originality of the others, but let's face it, Reach was about the money.

The main attraction is the super slick 'cover combat' system. It feels clunky and unresponsive at first but once you get acquainted with the controls and gameplay it becomes very impressive.

I suggested 'Louie' and 'Wilfred' to Spence last night. 'Wilfred' is still on it's first season. You can catch up on it if you have on demand. 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' is good too.
