I agree on the pace, to a point obviously.

In my opinion the speed at which you move is made up for reacting and paying attention to the enemy (something a viewer doesn't really get to experience very well without feeling the game play for themselves). You're using your brain resources on more than just navigation and moving, you're also including other mechanics, move sets, whether to dodge or block, etc.

I'm not trying to say you're wrong :o I do agree with you that it's slower, but it's slower for a reason and I personally love that reason <3 I want the enemy to have a chance against me, and if I mess up I want the enemy to take advantage of that opportunity and punish for it. If I'm lucky enough to still avoid the attack after making a mistake that makes it so exciting for me, I get that from no other game.

Also Josi is right, Bloodborne mixed up the formula a lot and allowed a much faster pace of playing which was really exciting to me. They even pulled it off so well that the enemies were even more challenging and aggressive, and that carried on through to Dark Souls III to a point.

Not everyone is going to like the formula, but for those of us who love the games we appreciate that it exists :) and that it's inspiring other games, especially indie games.
