Also got the Odium Dagger last night, and after I did, someone else who wanted it tried telling me that it offered nothing for ranged attackers.

Oh, there's better options for sure, but to say it offers nothing in terms of stats for ranged attackers is pretty much the epitome of stupid remarks.
Gave a marked increase in Last Stand and Wildfire damage, and I would assume it would be the same with Jishnu's due to the DEX+13.
So it does offer quite a bit, even if there are ultimately better options

Was gonna say it doesn't look that great but wasn't sure if there are some weird augments for it or not.
There are plenty of main and offhand weapons that can be used that offer ranged accuracy/attack/store TP stats as it is, but this dagger is pretty nice all on it's own.
An LS mate went ahead and farmed up an Oneiros Knife for the crit hit damage +10% for his jishnu's build.

Think WS DMG+ is the general ranger augment on that... so aside from the STR there's not much gain there, possibly less for WS depending on how much STR is adding to your damage.
Not sure on other RNG weapon choices atm, but I can see where the guy was coming from.
You're forgetting there are more ranged attackers than just ranger.
And that guy actually wanted it as part of his ranger set.

But Atoyac would more than likely be the offhand dagger with either a Ranged Acc+15/WSDMG+2% or MAcc+30/WSDMG+2% build, depending on which ws you favor, or if you are generally lacking ranged accuracy.
