Why is the JP community a lot tighter than the Engrish one? Example: I shouted for Rune body Orobon NM fight for an hour yesterday and got 0 response. This morning, I hook up with a JP Run needing same fight. He shouted and 35 minutes later we had a full alliance. Is that the secret of the JP Button?

With how wide,varied and socially accepted most of the internet is now a days,I dont think the stigma is as bad as it used to be. Yes,there are gonna be sleazy fools trying their hand,but you have that in RL too. I mean at the end of the day,it's still a common interet between 2 people,who are most likely shy or have bad social skills. You meet someone at the gym,common interest,fitness/gym. Meet someone at a bar,common interest,being easy. etc

Their whole culture is based on honour. NA/EU is based on the total opposite,*** people over to get what you want asap and breaking the *** out.

I would say the Japanese are more loyal to XI than everyone else. A lot of people have moved on from XI. Hell I still remember when WoW came out my entire linkshell broke up over that game. A lot of people never came back that was early 2000's. The notion of people sticking with a game for 10 years just doesn't happen in many games.

The allure of the EU server to me is the timezone. In XI it was always hard to find GMT shells,and staying up to 2am every night just to START an event.........ugh can only do it for so long
Yea I think they failed to realize that putting two vastly different cultures together didn't work out too well. I don't see anyone talking about JP/NA linkshell even if you could speak Japanese. There are a lot of barriers to make it work.
Went to gamestop after my shower to throw some money off some of my many preorders. They had my ARR collector's edition there. It was sexy looking.

I only find it creepy when that is all a person plays an mmo for.
If two people enjoy a hobby, spend hours doing something together, it is understandable that they may eventually find one another attractive or develop feelings. Ultimate Frisbee Team, knitting group, pub crawl group, MMO or tandem cycling team.

i was on gugnir legacy JP server and a lot spoke english.
btw, you can always make a char on those servers cause when they had maintenance in beta, they left jp servers up. at least it was up on gugnir when that happened
