Its called being a decent person and not an ***. Even if you don't celebrate the holiday you should still have respect for people who do. GOD forbid you can't watch your TV shows.

Was it a joke post or is a joke post now? Usually not very funny to take cracks at a day people choose to memorialize what they perceive as fallen heroes... don't really see the humor in it.

Silly people, so defensive o.o
It's easy to be defensive when you've lost a family member to war, or a friend, or know someone who has lost a family member or friend. Unfortunately, America is so war-riddled that almost all of us do know someone who's been lost.
Unrealistic wish of the day: I wish when my generation had children, those children could live in such peace that they could ask us, with utter confusion, what war was. When people care about something they can get pretty defensive...

Maybe I should do something productive today...
*stares at the ceiling* ...maybe. Google real life pokemon, some wouldn't look as pretty in the real world as they do in an anime!

(Are we still filibustering? I got distracted.) Liela saves the day!
morning everyone <3 Ooh, some of these are really nice! Books are forever. <3
http://www.buzzfeed.com/alannaokun/tattoos-inspired-by-books I would like to get an armband with Arwen's evenstar pendant on my bicep (not that I actually have biceps but oh well xD) and above it, going around the arm indent, to say "I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone" (for my husband) in Elvish, but I can't find a reliable site to translate it into Elvish script without actually learning the complete Tangwar language, and I have hard enough time learning real languages. >< This is the pendant: But I have no idea what that script says. Maybe someday! Siren.Kalilla said: » Liela saves the day! morning everyone <3 Save it? xD I was one of the defensive growling grumps instigating it! But oh well. Good morning, sweet Kali! <3 Phoenix.Josiahfk said: » Asura.Ina said: » Look! a distraction maybe the bubble has to be full of a very reflective gas that can be so powerful it doesn't matter what depth you're at? If this is at nighttime, instead of just extremely deep then /tableflip lol Quote: It's called sonoluminescence. No one knows exactly why this occurs, but there are a lot of different hypotheses. One of the most common explanations is that when the bubble collapses, the air inside gets pressurized. Increasing the pressure on a gas increases the temperature of the gas. During sonoluminescence, the temperature inside the tiny bubbles becomes so great that the gas begins to glow. Another hypothesis is that the collapsing bubble lends energy to prolong the life of the otherwise quickly annihilating photons that are spontaneously generated in a vacuum. Sonoluminescence could also be the product of the way photons can pop into and out of existence; the sudden collapse of the bubble making the photons noticeable to those in the macro world. Forgive me if this is a rather inappropriate thing to bring up, but this is a moment of Fridge Horror, of sorts, I just experienced...
Doing the moogle test event today, when I got the question with the SOB children, it finally dawned on me that one of the children is named CHOMOmo. In a group of young children whom adult adventurers spent time playing with. For no real reason at the time other than passing through the area. Behind a warehouse. Yeah... (Incase the term isn't really used elsewhere, Chomo is slang for Child Molester, at least where I live.) |
