Every time I have a steak, it reaffirms my happiness at not being vegetarian. :>
every time I see folks popping some sort of heart disease pills to counteract years of bad eating habits, having strokes, heart attacks, early on set altimeters, and a slew of other terrible health conditions as young as teenagers. I thank God we eat local organic.
Do not eat meat from stores or restaurants. Get to know your small local farmers (personally). The 90% of the crap they sell at farmers markets was purchased at a warehouse distribution center, and they pay someone minimum wage to sell it for 2x the price it cost at Wal-mart. Most of it chalked with chemicals and preservatives (especially true in meat distribution).
yes, yes - I know we are all going to die some times. It is not a matter of dying, it is a matter of living half your life in the miserable state of some form of heart disease. Living the final form of your life hooked up to machine with tubes down your throat, up your butt, and jammed into your urethra.
Most everyone has an organic farmer with in 50 miles of them, as they are becoming more wide spread. As well as local butchers who can piece it up for you and pack it with out preservative to freeze and enjoy all year round. Support your local FFA 4H programs. (*^.^*)
