D'awwwwww /melts! I just did a search as to whether they make good pets, and apparently they are legal to own in my state. There are actual skunk farms. They remove the scent glands when they're 2-5 weeks old. My hubby told me no :(

Smoke much? I really thought skunk ownership was banned in Ohio, but we're one of 17 states that allow it. Soooo now I'm trying to talk my husband into letting me get one. My prospects aren't looking too good.

No, it's just the part where we already have 3 cats, 2 dogs and a goldfish. We have too many animals as it is, so I'm banned from getting any more for a while.

That's another thing I want. But my husband HATES ferrets with a passion, so I doubt that'll ever happen. My cousin has 2 or 3. They make wonderful pets! Very lovey! Rats actually make extremely good pets too.

Apparently every ferret he's been around has bitten him, so I can sortof see where he's coming from with that one. But yes, a zoo we do have. I love all my critters though. If I had a bigger house and more land, we probably would have all sorts of things running around here.

Random thought: So what should the new religious thread be about? So far the only thing I've found is how Canadians are losing the faith quickly. Kinda weak, need something better.

I read an article on that "God Helmet" study that was done a while back. It's an interesting premise (if a little weighted by possible researcher bias) and might have some discussion value because of the way it was executed (with some claim of non-reproducible results, etc.) :p

I think a majority of the regular posters just like to see their names on the internet, clearly obvious that it comforts them to socialize with e-folks knowing it will not have implications in real life, making this an outlet... Which is okay I suppose. I just have a problem with bullshitters, fake people that would not normally have the same opinions in a face to face conversation, purely observational.
