you talking about random /sh groups or people you play with consistently? sounds like some shitty WHMs man, don't they know MP is free in Abyssea?
I think there has been a huge flood in WHMs since Abyssea, I don't know for sure because I was gone before it came out but by looking at the recent prices of Noble's Tunic, Cure Clogs and other ***sky rocketing it's like people are just key bitching a new alt on WHM for the only purpose to 2box while playing half ***.
I think there are still a lot of people who play WHM because they like/liked it. I played it when it wasn't as popular few years ago, it was pretty cool coming back and it being useful / wanted again.. the thing is I would play WHM regardless I think maybe these other people are only playing it cause it's got the edge on Curing at the moment.

That chart of points is laughable at best. Mnk does have nice aoe damage with Cataclysm. Your chart also should take into consideration "Ability to kill anything in all of abyssea with a whm partner", which would give NIN MNK and DNC like +100 points.
I like your concept, but it just doesn't make sense in the grand scheme of things. I enjoy my BLU very much, but when I'm dual boxing or duo'ing +2 upgrades, I don't use my BLU over my MNK or even my WAR.

As the official spokes elf for all whms let me just interupt you here and point out YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!
Do I have to carve RULE #1 on someone's forehead? It's laughably easy. Don't take hate off the tank unless you are sure you can get the kill.
If I had a dollar for every WAR that pulled hate on the MNK Orc in Dyna only to get hundred fisted and take the beating of a life time, I would be a millionaire! Some people are slow learners and they jump up and do it again over and over and over. I can't figure out why for the life of me.
We have the tank targeted, they are our primary concern. YOU DO NOT MATTER. If we aren't cure bombing you or erasing you it is because, I repeat YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!!! so now you can go sit there in Bound Time Out for a few minutes and think about what you have done!

Yeah, no doubt "duo play" or "group play" categories would favor the melee jobs and WHM more. The chart is lacking, but it'd be damn huge if I added everything I wanted to it, and honestly I don't know enough about all the jobs to do it(like with the Cataclysm thing).

Lol you'd be suprised how easily I pull hate off tanks... I've gone up and taken hate with red proc ws... seriously.
I've gone up to mobs that only the tank has done any real DDing on and it's at 40% and do 1 skillchain and have hate and the only other thing I've done is crappy grellow proc spells. Hell the other day I took hate off our back up tank dnc after she had been tanking for a good 2-3 min with a lol vorpal blade in tp gear (got blue proc though so win)
And I'm not asking for cure bombs. I'm asking for a single cure when I'm the only person taking dmg for a good minute... if you can't figure out that the reason your tank isn't taking any dmg is because someone else is hanging in the red forever you fail as a healer. Only semi excuse is if they are in a different pt and you don't have windower to fkey to other pts

Not that the DDs couldn't tank better than your gimpshit PLDs if they had the proper equipment and buffs.

Not at all, everyone can pull hate of a tank, just understand going in we aren't watching you. You can be a great dd if you just get the kill on it brother. The mistake many make is saving that ws to open on the next mob. Don't, FINISH HIM!!!

Then you are doing your job and making my point, I cure everyone that knows how to play their job. Let me blow your noodle with this bold statement, no one has ever died in my alliance that didn't make their own mistake. I have gone whole dynas as the only whm in the alliance without a single death when the cap was 75.

In Abyssea, healing a DD that takes hate shouldn't be any problem at all considering all the buffs you have, as well as atmas. Not healing just because he's "not supposed to" tank is being a lazy and shitty healer.

Dyna mobs are a joke, even at 75. They shouldn't live long enough to cause any real damage if your DDs are playing well. A tank isn't even needed.

Doing it outside Abyssea is pretty lazy too, and was at 75 as well. Tanks in cities? What the *** is this ***. Change to a DD, have everyone /SAM or /WAR, support your parties properly (BRDs, WHMs, maybe a DNC), and rape the *** zone.

Have to disagree. At the moment WHM is the best job by far - severely overpowered. After that, WAR MNK. Then other stuff.

Hell I stood around bound for a good 3 min day before yesterday (epic bind duration ftl) cause no one would erase me lol. Which is why I've decided to make my blu a tank
Bind? lol, BLUs don't worry about bind anymore. AoE Erase for 36 mp and short recast timer! Why were you waiting on erase?

Hexa Strike is no joke, WHM is a decent DD too if you really want to go there. Can also make arguments concerning damage output of the group as a whole with various healers (WHM enables more aggressive play, kill faster, can essentially consider the WHM the source of the additional DPS).

Drac, what happenes next? So DD drops like a stone in clear water becasue he pulled hate of the tank and didn't kill it. What happens when the whm throws a cure bomb on him?

You do realize doing damage worth a ***far outpaces the enmity generated by a WHM cure, right? Especially since you should be using at least some amount of -enmity gear. You're just proving that you have no grasp of basic damage and enmity mechanics here.

Two problems
1. Why can your tank not hold hate (tank, read: top DD)
2. Why can your tank not hold hate from the fearsome enmity generation of cure5/6?

If all DDs are doing their job the monster should go for the next strongest DD, not the WHM. Even if it's a fight where the NM uses AoE moves so most people should stay out of range, the RNG, BLM, or BLU should be next on the hate list when tank dies.
EDIT: And not always "strongest", just because you pull hate doesn't mean that the other guy is weaker than you just because they didn't feel like spamming nukes as BLM and getting themselves killed.

/cookie Now take even less damage by removing the tank and having your DDs actually do their job. Dead mobs don't deal damage.
A complex question to say the least, simply because of what we can be talking about, dmg output, soloing, the necessity of having a healer, whats the mob etc...
But, if you had to decide which job would be the best to take to 90 (99, whatever), taking these things into account what would you say comes out with the most pros? For example consider a graph, a questionnaire of scale, 1 -10, one category is DMG output over speicified amount of time, one is the ability to Solo on a scale of 1 - 10 (which would most likely rest on the amount of mobs the job can take on as opposed to which can take on the least)
Of these categories, what job would you say comes out with the most points?
