seeing 75 COR's meriting in full AF, meleeing with an archer's knife, /whm & using a matchloch gun & using lvl 22 bullets....WTF!?!?

cor being my 1st job to 75 (and my fave to date) i know its not easy to have the best gear, but you dont need the best gear to be good, its not hard to get some gear & a sub thats usful

and then to get tells from said COR that its not a DD job....BS! i just got out of a merit pt today and was pulling off slug shots for 1500 (and im quite sure there are cor's out there that can do more)

"haste plz" and the spamming thereof, especially 2 seconds into the first fight of the party.

I make it an effort to drop you to the bottom of the haste pile. Have nice day.

lol I never ask for haste cause i know it takes a bit to haste everyone. I see ppl ask for alot of spells right away b4 you can even get to your macro.
Especially when protect just wears off, as soon as it wears "Can I get protect?" while the mage is trying to keep you alive...

My list's too long to even begin on. But one thing in general that annoys the hell out of me...
Red left-turn arrows at intersections!
I spend so much dang time sitting at these red arrows when there are zero cars coming from the opposite direction and there is absolutely no reason for me to be sitting at the light instead of turning.

Yeah, that's mainly what I was getting at. If I've got a boatload of mp and it's been a little while, then by all means break out a "where's the haste?" :)

COR is not a DD job, per se. COR is a DD in the sense that PUP is also a DD. (Moderate damage, but nothing to really make it worthwhile as a DD. The reason COR is awesome is because it can do everything BRD does, but better, AND manage to DD fairly well. I say fairly well because a 1500 Slug Shot isn't impressive. And I know CORs can do better, but still. COR will never match up to "real" DDs.

That being said, a COR that doesn't DD is like a DRK that doesn't use magic. That is to say, even if a DRK doesn't use magic, they're still one of the most useful jobs in your party. Same with COR. COR can just use buffs, then afk for 5 minutes and still be one of the most valuable jobs in your party. Not saying I support a COR not DDing, but COR is good enough without it, you know?

That being said, I love CORs, even when they don't use a gun at all.


I know I probably got all CORs to hate me with the first few paragraphs. Now it's time to get mages to hate me!

Beyond Haste, there's not much a mage can do to make exp go faster. Sure, it's because of mages that exp can go at all (Not all the time, but you know), but it's part of your job to keep melees hasted. Lot of extra work, but it makes exp 15% faster which is something you shouldn't complain about.

I actually can't find any real cause to argue with this. Cor buffs are actually really damn good. I've been doing Einherjar with an LS that does not only brd rotations, but cor rotations too, and it still amazes me how fast we clear through the swarms of mobs.

And no, Cor will never out DD a rng (unless it's an uber pimp cor and an uber gimp rng), but they can do some pretty tasty damage. Cor may or may not fight in end-game events depending on what you're fighting (probably best for them not to fight on tp sensitive mobs, but I'm no expert), but in exp and merit, a cor that buffs and DD's is going to do awesome things for your xp/hour.

And if you're in one of those exp/merit parties where people somehow hardly get hit and you find yourself standing around with 600mp you don't know what to do with, haste the blu damnit! RDM and WHM haste is 5% faster than refueling.

I'm sorry but I just don't agree with this. Especially the underlined parts. I really worry for the skill and gear of Corsairs on Siren for you to be thinking like this, because with all due respect, it's just nonsense.

What grinds my gears? When Corsair is given a bad name by cheap, rubbish people who make the job look like a joke.

When people don't know the difference between "Your" and "You're". How the *** did they pass first grade, I mean, seriously?! >.<

At 63, this is a DD.
At 63, this is also a DD.

When you have a LV63 outdamaging your 75 job, you are not a DD.

I like proper punctuation and civilized conversations.
Some people feel it's their lot in life to argue everything, and that's fine.
However, when your arguments turn to slander (in print it's lible), you're not doing yourself any credit.
If people feel the need to argue, bring facts, bring proof, bring anything that's remotely legitimate.
Don't bring fake facts quoting random percentages that everyone knows to be false.
Don't bring rumors and for everyone's sake, give the other person the same chance to argue that they gave you.

Oh, I totally agree with you. I consider it one of my primary tasks as WHM to keep tanks then DD's hasted up, after the basic curing and buffing needs. I should have probably put more details in my post - it's more because I know what to do as a WHM, and I make an effort to keep haste up on people that constant "HASTE PLZ" banter just irritates the crap out of me.

I think it goes to the bigger fact that obnoxious and incoherent-ish statements grind my gears more than that.

Like I said, if I'm epically failing at some job task for more than few minutes, call me out on it, but don't spam it up right away because you'll probably only build some animosity.

As a 75RNG, I have seen this DD.
Something I want you to know though. I went to a TP Bird Burn party with a RDM, COR, BRD, RNG and 2SAMs.
I will say this, it was impressive to see. The SAMs came /WAR for voke, but the birds dies quick.
I will say, that I out DDed the COR, but only just barely.
I saw my Sidewinder hit for 3,200 and his Slug Shot hit for 2,800.

That floored me.

Never in my dreams, had I imagined that a COR could keep up with me and the SAMs as DD- but HE DID!

I take pride in my RNG. I love it and gear it with LOTS of R Atk and STR for birds.
So, when I say that this COR kept up with me, I hope you understand how impressed I was.

COR is an awesome support job AND a pretty damn good DD too.
Don't be hung up by some COR that wasn't geared well enough to roll his own dice.
When geared properly, a COR is pretty impressive.

What grinds my gears is spending several hours in Ordelle's Caves Chest Key farming,spending a couple of more hours looking for a chest(Hume Female RSE) only to find one being guarded by someone whilst the rest of their LS was were still farming their keys. I was so tempted to just walk over and open it anyway but i'm too polite for that :(

You must be whooshing us all right? There is no way that one person can be so wrong on every single post they make. Broken clock / twice a day etc etc.
