I honestly don't think crafting should raise your physical level...that is 1) Completely broken 2) Completely cheap and 3) Going to create so many elitists...

If SE feels the need to feed crafters with even more ***, they should at least reduce the exp gained. People can easily level 3x as fast from just crafting as they can from doing leves/grinding mobs..
But as a crafter you can't really kill anything :( though we could make some wicked shurikens out of dodo leather and bronze ingots.
physical level doesn't really seem to do much, other then giving some HP and stats. your job level is what seems to do everything. surethe extra levels help you with lower leveled stuff, but it's nmot like being physical 30, allowed you to jump into level 15 mobs with a level 1 class

but with plvl if you stack your points right it helps alot 2 vit is like 20 hp. so it helps in long run

it just improves your chances of beating that mob which is just a little bit harder

Those points are capped on the rank you have. So they only help to a certain extent. Having an insanely high level means *** in battle if your highest rank is 10

The Physical level with the points Allotment did really helped me.
Last night I started Marauder job Rank 1, and physical 14. Also had Second Wind equiped from my PUG abilities so I fought non-stop and used it to heal myself + 800+ HP... I never needed to rest (passive mode) for 2+ hours.

Due to VIT points I already have on the physical. A new person who started last night in my server Figaro had 400HP whilst i had 810-890 as i added more VIT.

For this character (POWER NEXUS) I'll focus on STR DEX VIT, while my second account (NEXUS POWER) will focus on PIE INT MND and VIT to some extent.

See ya all in Figaro.

Wow i didnt realize it was that much, i retract my previous statement. The extra ablities is what really helps. having second wind cure and shock spikes make soloing bomb tastic. You can go none stop with a quick switch to Conj or Thurm to hit your MP recharge skill then switch back for full MP, its baller.

Stoneskin is a wast of MP on melee solo though, it only absorbs around 70-80 dmg for 12 mp while cure can heal for upwards of 190 for 12 mp. Just stick with cure and shockspikes and maybe sacrifice from your mage skills

Yeah your plvl just seems to be a modifier for your rank. Kind of like having a heavily merited character in FFXI. Sure it helps as you're leveling a new class. But it's by no means game breaking.

My highest rank is a 19 Lancer, but my plvl is 24. I don't seen to have a noticably easier or harder time fighting things than another rank 19 with a lower or higher plvl than me.

How about this: Stop complaining and start crafting.

All people do is complain in this game. Complaints are for the SE Suggestion/Feedback form. Be proactive, not the opposite.

complaining about people complaining. You are part of the problem, not the solution

Idc that SE gives crafting xp for being lazy, they just shouldn't give them as much as they do. I know a guy that has 3 jobs. Blacksmith 22, Armorer 19 and Weaver 15. His physical level is around 38-39....I'm CON 14 (almost 15) GLD 6ish ARM 11 ...I'm barely level 17 and MOST of those levels were from ARM >.>

Anyone hearing that? Did the "challenge" aspect people talk about in the FF online repertoire just fall flat? They took away the lucrative art of crafting and just made it into an exp tool. Reminds me of bard singing during campaign or smn burning.

I dunno, it's easy to get exp for PL, I say it counts when you have a class at 50 imo. When he levels a mage/war class then I'd be impressed..

Even though may not be impressed, he will be currently one of the most highest stat based on any class. Up until about rank 30 he will be capped on all stats, making him the best at his class on whatever class he plays, mechanic wise.

The crafter elitism has already started...had some rank 31 blacksmith calling me a noob (yea...already...) for my highest rank being 15...and then talked about how he was so much better.

I bet him that I could deal more damage and it became apparent, when he accepted my bet, that he had never played the combat portion of a job before...he actually went out and tried to kill things by throwing rocks at them...so we compared damage. His 1-2 damage rock throws vs my 200-300 Fires...<3 ***talkers.

I do believe you are correct because once he saw that I could potentially 3 shot almost anything that conned green or lower, he disconnected >.>
