I think what Anbu is referring to that there is a real lack of understanding right now between haters who have legit gripes about this game (actual 14 players) and retards who are just hating (everyone else).

Like you said EVERYONE is bashing this game, and just like you who had no clue what that quote was about, they have no clue about 14 (ie: haven't played it, or are loyal fanboys trying to measure their game to 14). Thats pretty much whats up w/ that dude...

Unlikely.. It's still going to be more like caveman style barter than amazon.com.. now the cavemen just know where to go. SE needs to come clean about their mistakes start giving away free play to upset customers I think till they get it right.

I still think the games fun, got into a party the other night and it was a blast but they have too many problems and if they want to be an open and forthcoming company this is a great place to start.

It's a tricky one to get right, if they just do a blanket extension of the 30 day trial, that's going to be x million ¥ less money to pump into development (yes they could just run at deficit for longer, but that will still impact somewhere along the line) and there's still a good chance alot of people would still be unhappy after however many weeks they increase it by.

I think maybe instead, just let them go, and in a couple of months email all those who didn't stay on after the free period ended offering a 5 or 10 day welcome back trial so that they get hit with all the improvements at once.

well the idea is they get more customers by doing it and overall make more money in the end. You make money by serving your customers and keeping them happy.

Yep I agree with you, free time is the way to go.

I was just suggesting that delaying the free time until after the major gripes are fixed and targetting those who were unhappy enough to leave after trial would be the best way to approach it, as a free week or two on a still broken game is less likely to convince people to continue/come back.

Personally, I'm happy enough with the rate of improvement to stay, but I do wonder how many people are going to, given how quickly the online player count dropped since release.

yea i did the benchmark test last night score 500 lol. and i have no lag in the game lol. but start grinding with ls members skill up are 10x better. and everytime they update the game gets that much better.

i may be a fanboi. but dont see me going to wow or ffxi and talking ***. and only reason im not playing at this moment is becuase i have a life and im deployed overseas and i cant spend every hour playing a game. but if i could i would be on it.

some people just need to grow up and stop being retard. if dont like the game it's yout opinion. we are people and we have the right to do what we want. and choice what we need to do.

and yes this is in on ffxiah becuase both the same site but also 2 different ones. if we post ffxiv pics on ffxiah you get mad so stick to your side and were stay to ours.

Well, you can stop assuming people are trying to get you to stop playing what you want or thinking XI players are harassing XIV players, it's silly. Reviews are reviews, people aren't telling you to stop playing or "stop being retard".

Meh, there's a lot of FFXI angry people for some reason that try to keep you away from the game EVEN THOUGH they haven't played it.

I play the game, and I make criticism on it. Only b/c I'm disappointed they didn't learn much from their first MMO, but I also want them to do well... but they really need to change some things apparently. (or revert some things over at HQ)

Not really, I'm not saying this side does it, but the majority of other websites are filled with WoW trolls and angry FFXI people, though i'd say you shouldn't have in to comment or discuss trying to get people away from it if you haven't played it yourself, but it you have, then that's another story, complain, get angry, bash the game all you want, because your purchased it and have tried for yourself.

Like I said, not everyone is like that, but the majority is all like "This game sucks" "this game flops LOLOLOL" without adding any real criticism.

I am mostly replying now to people like you. So you can stop if you want. It seems when I point out flaws in a game someone is playing, it somehow reflects flaws in themselves so they have to defend the indefensible. Even though I'm playing the same game...

30 days extension, I wasn't even considering they'd go that far. That actually is a decent enough amount of time to get alot resolved, lets hope it's enough to convince people it's going to get better, fast.

And I thought they were losing too much money :D

Actually the umads concept come from posters on here and I don't understand how thats gang related in any way...the rap song I posted is about "people hating" on you...again no gang/thug related material...hmm do I detect a hint of racism...just sayin'
