The 6th Ministry's Secret: A Summoner's Guide (v2)
I don't remember the pos but it's in wohgates map2 (you access it from Marjami Ravine, close to Biv #3, just south of it) but it's in the south/west part of the map, in a big room where you also pop an Hyppogryph NM that drops Highwing Helm.
Aye, and from what I've read from the update notes they've also increased the Astral Flow JP cat. from +3 to +5 per JP.
Which means capping it adds +50 to every stat on your avatar under Astral Flow. In before it's damage +3 and not 3% lol
Btw 2 new items for SMN (ignoring Augments, since we don't know them yet) Head with SMN skill+15 and Belt with SMN skill+5, Blood Boon+5 and Perp-2. With this belt and some reforged AF3 pieces I think we can cap perpetuance without using the weapon slot. Which means non-nirvana user can finally create a melee oriented Keraunos. The Avatar Perp bonus was in the same slot as pet Haste. Nobody will care in here probably, but it's a nice option for non Nirvana SMNs. I see another category there that says increased avatar magic damage...wow cant wait to log in and check this out. My smn already has 93% increased damage and 103% with 1hour. Can't wait to log in and start getting some cp. I knew i should have stored up some.
It's not a %. With 10/10 JPs and no BP DMG gear Zantetsuken does 10029.
As expected =/ It's like the silly Waltz Potency and Cure Potency JP categories for DNC and WHM.
Honestly no JP is as powerful as that for any job, were we really expecting a 30% + BP damage? Heh... Silly us for actually believing that =/ So what are the rest of the gifts then?
Either way, this update so far has diminished my desire to play. Asura.Crevox said: » So what are the rest of the gifts then? Most noteworthy: +8 Summoning magic skill at 445 and the +1 Favor level increase at 550. SMN goodies for this update. Source: BG Wiki

Empath Necklace also nice for avatar idle sets if you don't need pet TP.

A cape to add 8 more Attack for physical Blood Pacts compared to Argochampsa Mantle and some Haste for additional Avatar DPS. These look pretty good, mostly for the slight benefits you mentioned. It's nice to know the millions we spent on Helios augments aren't completely flushed down the toilet (yet). Well, no clue whether or not Psycloth armor set will be augmentable or not. If it is, maybe it'll follow either Delve path format or Skirmish random format.
Delve format.
Any clue what the augment paths are yet? If that's so, most likely means there will only be one piece of armor with one path which won't even be worth a damn for Summoners.
Looking for clarification/confirmation on Keraunos vs Nirvana. My understanding is nirvana wins but not by much... usually... sometimes Keraunos is better... I think?
For magic pacts the Keraunos may have an advantage depending on your gearset. Damage wise, but for high level content the +2 avatar levels may give you an advantage MACC wise.

Acc. +2 Fast Cast +3 Lunareticc said: » I had the psycloth head and the augment possible for the summoner: Pet: Attack +11, MAB +1 for start augment. Where did you get the Psycloth piece? Offline

I really dont understand WHY they think that +30 DMG would be of ANY use to us AT ALL. Theyre really stupid.

Always depends where its applied in the formula, and with SE, we never know what the verbose used actually means. If for example, that 30dmg is like an extra +30 base weapon dmg for the avatar when calculating BP dmg then it's quite significant. Phoenix.Rumblepakk

Well for now thatll be the last JP category i finish!
Luna, I'd like to recommend linking the FFXI AH stack price for foods rather than the BG wiki. If it's not asking for too much. :) Thanks.

Would I expect SE to screw us over like this? Yes. Would I expect that they should give us the 30% boost? Yes. But for a Job Point category +30% damage bonus would be way too much, c'mon... let's be honest and admit it. Not saying I wouldn't like it, but I don't think there is any other single JP category that grants a 30% straight damage boost. 99.9% of JP categories give minimal boosts to the respective jobs. Some are so minimal they disappear, some other are still somewhat relevant, but I don't think you'll find anything giving that much to any job. (30%) Offline
