"Donner" is German for "thunder".... And seeing how Japanese "Donar" and "Donner" would both be ドナー (dona-)... Pretty sure the localization team dropped the ball.
Maybe they shouldn't have been so quick to axe the German translators.

This holds true for this gun just like many other random weapons in this game...

Dev Lead: "Hey, we need to have another piece drop from ________"

Team Member: "I'll get the dartboard."

*toss* Okay, it's a decent damage gun *toss* And elemental MAB! *toss* Aww... it's for Lightning... so close...

I don't think any of those jobs have access to a Lightning Elemental attack... I guess except Quick Draw and Raiton.

But yah, It doesn't take a genius to figure out this comes from Ramuh I.lv fight.

Best gun a Thief can have atm. Very useful for Thief when soloing (with Trusts) on certain NMs that do charm, doom, KO, and/or heavy AOE; and you can shoot from far to avoid the unnecessary complications, while still putting in some decent DOT with Decimating Bullet (from
Curio Mog) and Last Stand.

The drop rate ain't too bad, as I went 1/4 on Normal difficulty. Good luck, fellow Thieves.
