Pretty much it's situational from a damage dealing standpoint.

If you're talking about low-manning/soloing things then MeleeGloves > Bando > Okote.

If you're talking about Dynamis/Zerg/Ein/Gods or any fight where a bunch of DD's will be on the mob you're fighting then Bando > Okote > Melee.

Obviously you can sacrifice the attack for the subtle blow/hp% in some situations, but for most end game events I'd say stick with Bando/Okote. Melee Gloves do look cool though!

PS. When you make comments like 4 attack not being a big deal, just remember how much some +1 items cost that only give you 1 extra attack or 1 extra stat. It all adds up guys.

I actually prefer these over o-kotes for two reasons.

1) Saves on inventory so i don't have to have everything macro'd down.

2) 4 attack isn't as helpful as subtle blow +4 to the party.

Now getting the +1 version of these i believe is way better then 0-kotes.

These were quite recently changed to read "Enhances Chakra Effect II".

I mean, You all see that now, but if you look at the old Wiki Picture, You can see it didn't used to have the "II".

Both Melee Gloves and Melee Gloves +1 are nice, but lets face it. It's more situational than anything else. Ochiudo/Ochimusha Kote are still better on average, partly because they are much easier to obtain than a gear drop from Dynamis Jeuno.

Basically, it's easier for most MNKs, SAMs, and NINs to get Okote as opposed to joining a Dynamis LS (or a linkshell that does Dynamis as part of its schedule). All they have to do is either farm the gil for it or simply camp Mee Deggi in Castle Oztroja. Again, Melee Gloves are nice situationally, but Bandos/Okote are pretty much full time. Plus, Okote are equippable at lvl 34 and two other jobs can use them as opposed to just MNK. And even then it's only equippable at 73. If you level MNK from 1-75 and these are your best hands slot, you're gimp plain and simple.

For MNK, this is the preferred order of hand gear overall:

1) Bandomusha Kote
2) Okote
3) Melee Gloves
