I found Melaco Mittens in the brown chest of Bostaunieux Oubliette while undergoing Page 3 as RDM90/DNC45.

NOT saying you have to have pages. During my 4th run of pages, I came across a brown chest containing them.

I only had Prowess chest 1.

Spent a week straight there with box finder level 5 and no gloves. Hope for a miracle if you're trying to get these yourself. I wish you all good luck, you'll likely need it.

From past experience, I'm fairly sure your chances of getting an area's "chest item" decreases as you use more attempts.

I got these after 1-examine, 2-guessed the right number.

I have found these mittens 3 times in Bostaunieux, and everytime I have to shout to tell someone to join my party so they can take them... I can't even sell the pair that I have...

These are going to drop in price really fast since they are not hard to get, and people are starting to undercut to sell theres. better sell them now why you can still get decent gil for them.
