"Beastmaster job point refinements" in ver. update
What unholy hell are they visiting upon us now?!
They've already broken the job by ridiculously reducing sic/ready/reward/etc distance. How much more do they want to break the job now?! Malther, I don't think even you will be unhappy with this change.
Its to address a concern that players MUST have enmity +20 on pet from job points in order to be Master, in order to upgrade/Augment Aymur/Farsha/Guttler/Tri-Edge from the new augment process. There was a Japanese player who was specifically NOT getting Master Tamer for this reason. He didn't want his pet to take hate, because pet was in DD mode. The goal is to preserve playstyle options, not limit them. Obviously Bst still has interest in pet tanking situations. I expect the change will be to something like Snarl: Pet Enmity +20. Although I did post my suggestions for Bst pet enmity changes in the same JP thread as this change was discussed in. I don't know what the actual new job point category will be. SE hasn't announced that. I'm only guessing. However, I do know exactly what started it. And I think have a pretty good guess on what will replace it. Quetzalcoatl.Xilkk said: » Odin.Drakenv said: » This sounds good so basically he didn’t research it? They do just great in Divergence also. Not sure what world you're living in. A very confused world it seems. Or the belief they made a joke.

Haven't played BST or actually seen a BST in forever. Hope this update hooks it up with something good.

People went from zerging with BSTs to zerging with SMNs even more quickly and safely. The only result is that a few diehards stuck with the job (it does work for some Omen bosses, and it's great solo) but no one wants beastmaster for group content. I don't feel like I'm bitching, just pointed out that the result of the change didn't achieve anything constructive. Oh it certainly didn't and even as a person who uses bst a lot with an alt (like fulltime on that alt) and used to triple farm dyna with it (when it was still time locked to 1/day) it's just more an annoyance than anything. I am still guilty of shunning bsts for group content, even Omen (sorry Spy). Good bst is Very reliable for making fusion skillchain on Kei for mages to burst off. Or make fusion and have rng close light. Bst is good dd on any Other Omen Boss. Fu is pretty much setup as a pet zerg fight. I haven't thought to try solo'ing any omen midbosses on bst though. Pup is too easy to OD them. And yes, I'm one of those said Bst Diehards incase there was any doubt in anyone's mind. GOTTA chime in on BST's in Omen! Best kept secret out there I think. Unagihito showed me the ways!
