So... is Guildwork dead?
I'm not on the forums often... but is Guildwork dead? Seemed for a long time FF14 was dead and FFXI worked, but now it seems FFXI has been broken for a long time too.

I wish posting to Guildwork from the windower client was open sourced. :(
From the looks of it, new guy was pretty much inactive before he was even given the keys to the kingdom.

Aren't Guildwork still offering a premium account for a price?
Guildwork has been kind of stumbling along trying not to fall flat on its face for awhile. Linking 14 characters stopped working about six months ago and before that every Lodestone update broke it for weeks at a time. Activity on the site in general has been steadily declining for awhile now. For those who have been using it basically since it started, it's been apparent nobody gives a ***about maintaining it for quite awhile now.

I figure most people aren't even aware that they're still paying for either premium or having their guild site hosted. Heck, I need to see if I can still get in contact with a few former LS leaders, some of the older guild sites I happen to still have admin rights still appear to be charged and I cannot change that for them... I mostly liked the guildwork for uploading imzges and keeping track on huntmarks in XIV.

I don't think GW is dead
I actually still want to add JobPoint support to Ashita, among other things. Felgarr said: I don't think GW is dead Leviathan.Comeatmebro

Can want all day, if the people in charge aren't willing to transfer leadership to someone who can get things done it's not going anywhere.
If Guildwork offers certain features that people pay for, and people continue to pay for it without said features being offered, are they opening themselves to potential liabilities?
Just canceled premium, not going to pay for a product that doesn't work or the maintainer has abandoned.

You'd have a better chance getting Matsui to fix it, since Stan abandoned it like a prom night dumpster baby

Took you guys long enough to notice ***has been dead for well over a year....... Stan hasn't worked on the ***in a while, probably since Discord development got serious. He brought on Rooks to help out but, as it seems, never gave him access to enough stuff to make enough of a difference (big mistake seeing as how proactive Rooks is at fixing things when he can). "Hired" on another guy last year who literally never did anything that affected users or said anything after his "hello" post. "Hired" on the "current" guy who also hasn't done anything that has affected users or said anything after his hello post and a brief status update which I believe was like 4 months ago now. I'm convinced that the only reason the site is still up at all without a constant 402/404 error is because Rooks keeps fixing it when it happens.
But hey you could always buy discord nitro Offline

Rooks is the only reason anything is even working with the site and the plugin. Asura.Syto said: » I'll try harder to reach out to Stan. It hasn't been dead for a year, I was able to sync about a month or two ago.
I messaged Stan on LinkedIn... no reply, but it's only been a few hours. Whoever currently supports Guildwork just isn't taking care of things. |
