Speaking of nazis..
The coalition of all neo-nazi parties of Europe is organizing a convention in Italy and there's a bunch of controversy between people who think it should be denied and those who say it should be allowed.
There's another thing though worth noting: Italy is a country with one of the, if not the strictest anti-fascism laws in the world. It is illegal since the end of ww2 to incite any type of fascist rethoric.
And these *** chose to come here of all places lol.

straight white males that feel underrepresented unite Ha!
Little do you know, I'm not straight!
I'm also not gay, so sorry Pleebs, I still won't go out with you. This implies you are even remotely desireable in his eyes which is a huge leap of unsubstantiated alternative facts.

Take a hit and pass it on, man!
WHO THE *** CARES WHAT COLOR YOUR SKIN IS? This is why privilege needs to be considered. Yes, ideally individual differences shouldn't matter, but we are still far from existing in this ideal. There are many avenues to upward mobility that are more difficult because some of those differences become obstacles due to bigoted people in power or systematic practices that discriminate, explicitly or otherwise.
It matters. If it's never been something you've had to deal with then congratulations because it's not exactly the most lifting experience. Diminishing other people's experiences with 'who the *** cares' when it so obviously still does emphasizes the lack of perspective and an unwillingness to understand. Falling on the "well, my life sucks because I'm <insert minority status>" and "check your <insert what is currently considered socially bad by the social justice warriors of the world> privileges" is just trying to substantiate your own failings in life.
Because if you honestly believe the words you just typed, I have multiple (we are talking in the millions, just in the US alone) examples of people who are, what you consider "socially challenged due to events beyond their control, such as skin pigmentation or the lack of the Y chromosome," successful in their lives contrary to your assertions. I also have multiple (we are talking in the millions, just in the US alone) examples of the complete opposite (meaning "non-socially challenged people" being unsuccessful in their lives).
Yes, racism exists. It needs to be abolished and/or removed from society. But neither is harping on it, glorifying it, or financially/socially being dependent on it is going to solve the problem.
You want to help solve the issue of racism? Stop promoting it.

The obsession with race seems odd. I never once woke up thinking. Hey I'm white ! Mostly it's damn I'm still tired ? if you lived in a country that enslaved or genocided white people in it's past and your culture and people were looked down upon by the majority, you might.
if you had woken up in a shittier apartment purely because the good quality apartment landlord took one look at your skin color or religion and said, "No thanks" you might. These problems and many others against any minority of people still exist; We can't just ignore them and they'll go away.
it's about countering the extra challenges any minority might face so they can have the same opportunities in life as the majority has. So their kids can see positive role models and positive representation growing up and not stuck feeling like inferior people.
That's a lot of ifs ! To which I say:

You want to help solve the issue of racism? Stop promoting it. Discussing it is not promoting it. Racism is not an excuse for failure but it is a factor. I don't know why this is the hardest concept to get.

People who deny the existence of discrimination are either the ones applying it or enormously ignorant. Same for those who think the problem should be ignored and silenced.

if you lived in a country that enslaved or genocided white people in it's past and your culture and people were looked down upon by the majority, you might. But lucky for us, we don't live in the Middle East.
if you had woken up in a shittier apartment purely because the good quality apartment landlord took one look at your skin color or religion and said, "No thanks" you might. These problems and many others against any minority of people still exist; We can't just ignore them and they'll go away. But lucky for us, we live in a society where racial discrimination is illegal and those who continue such practices can be held both criminally and civilly.
it's about countering the extra challenges any minority might face so they can have the same opportunities in life as the majority has. You mean like racial discrimination in regards to being accepted into colleges? Or workforce? Where a candidate is judged on the color of their skin and accepted only on the premise of the color of their skin?
Normally, that would be illegal, but the thing is, it's still happening, and it's being promoted as racial diversity, so it's not being challenged.
In today's society (both US and Canada), you are more likely to be not only accepted, but even rewarded, if you are in a minority class.

Or you are just being obtuse, per usual.
There are multiple opportunities to get into college if you are a minority, but there are no scholarships rewarded because you are white. Cause that's racist.jpg.
You are also more likely to get a loan if you are a minority, but if you aren't and in the same position, fat chance.
There are also more opportunities for minorities to get a business loan than anyone else. Not because you have a good idea or business plan, mind you. Just because you fit in that class of people who feel victimized all the time....
Face it, minorities have more chances than not to succeed in life than the "majority" (aka white male). Still doesn't guarantee that you will succeed though, that all depends on individual talents, which is the only trait worth acknowledging.

So much missing the point today. Racism is not to be silenced or ignored. The point is not to deny its existence. The point is to prevent entirely counterproductive attitudes and policies that only serve to preserve racism and create division.
