When did I ever complain about SE banning people for cheating? You're bitching that they haven't banned literally everyone who ever achieved something that isn't you because they must have cheated.

You keep trying to rephrase the same "wah wah" idea, it's still the same thing. A normal person would just be happy for what they've achieved instead of reviling everyone around them because some of them may have cheated.

When you say repeatedly that cheaters cheapen your achievements and that they should be banned, it doesn't really matter if you said once that you don't care, because you obviously do care a lot. I don't have any hate for cheaters or legit players, I couldn't care less what tools people use, not because I use any tools, but because it doesn't affect me. I view my achievements on their own merits, and I don't get all buttmad when people don't have to work as hard for the same thing. My effort, my reward, what you or anyone else does is meaningless.

You've painted yourself well as a crybaby. Please do continue to complain about how unfair life is.

I think SE can enforce as they see fit. Our acceptance of the TOS has no clause assuring "speedy judgement" nor any outline of steps in disciplinary action.

It seems to me that the only claim that can be made against SE is that Salvage 1.0 bans were unjust because they didn't require 3rd party programs.

Knowingly duping items is pretty terrible, its as bad as using a POS hack to respawn HQ Khimaira over and over and killing it 50 times in a 100 minute window.

Saying "well it was your fault this bug existed" is a pretty lame excuse. If an ATM is spitting out 20s and 50s until its empty, and you take that ~10k and run (I dont know how much money an atm has), its still theft, even if "its not my fault your ATM was broken".

That's the biggest thing, to me, with the Salvage cheating. Alex prices without the cheating would only be marginally higher, maybe the same. With the higher prices, more people would be farming Salvage for gil. AR2 takes an easy 30-45 minutes. It's a lot more tolerable than 120 minutes in Dynamis or even gathering together a VW group to farm mats/HMP/whatever. Instead what's happened due to the injection of thousands of cheater alex, is that alex prices have fallen. Today on Sylph alex prices are around 6400-6800, and there's a glut of unsold alex. People are not farming Salvage as much because it's become less lucrative. It's really taken a toll on the income that a lot of players depended on after the Salvage change + ilvl gear.

For the other types of cheaters who were banned, tough titty. POS-hacking, flee-hacking, botting, they are all ways to get around playing FFXI. If you don't like playing the game, here's a thought- quit.

The only thing that I don't like about the bans is that they have not been very extensive. I still see players that I've personally witnessed cheating in-game in the last day or two. Maybe they'll get the axe next?

Depends what cheat. There is a huge difference between people ruining Salvage in every possible way and your usual guy running at 12% full time.

Also, much like any online game, as long as you do not draw the attention of anyone or that they do nothing about it, you're fine.
