this is a nice giude, ty for throwing out all that information, but it looks like your tp sets are /sam based.
My Odin V2 experience is limited but I use /war for almost every event (arch omega, ADL, VW, and some small amount of legion), i would suggest adding some tp sets for that sub. TP sets should be able to work with /WAR as well. And thanks!
currently trying to get the urls at the top to work btw, bear with me lol Nice job. DRK is one hellova job to tackle for a guide. Good luck sir!
People need a guide to just spam resolution?
All kidding aside, I figured if ANYBODY would have done this, it would have been Urteil, but I guess the PvP wars have him busy/feeling crestfallen. Good job lol. Hidden effect on apoc is x2 damage not x2.5.
Good guide. I just skimmed through it really *i dont play drk myself really* but i found it weird that Vbody wasnt mentioned at all. Does Armadaberk really come ahead in that many situations? If x-hit was your focus for armadaberk for TP body, what about embrava set?

You have rose strap in your WS set, though, for whatever reason. 13.9*1.48 = 20.5, 20.5+17.2 = 99.2 Carbuncle.Pwnzone said: » Good guide. 2. I think showing the fact that you wouldn't be using one dark magic set goes a long way. 3. Different high/low acc sets would be nice. 4. You have included TP sets but failed to take into account different sTP values for some weapons. 5. Valkyrie's breastplate is still useful in moments where you don't need the extra acc/sTP from Armada. Quetzacoatl said: » Carbuncle.Pwnzone said: » Good guide. Quetzacoatl said: » Caladbolg This is the better half of DRK's selection of Empyrean weapons. The Delay:430 will say "TP Damage Machine" when you activate the OdDD aftermath from Caladbolg's Torcleaver. Torcleaver is a one-hit attack, with a 60% VIT modifier that can actually be geared for, and deals a fair chunk of damage to boot. Like Spinning Slash & Ground Strike, One-Hit Weapon Skills often carry an Accuracy Bonus, so stacking for Attack will largely benefit this WS. Although, its Uniqueness starts to drop off by level 90, where the OAT Fulgurante will most likely outperform it. If you're willing to spend some hefty gil on 1,500 plates and 60 Riftdross, it can still contend with the OAT Fulgurante as well as the Borealis. Don't want to turn this into a calad vs rag thread but jeez... 99 calad completely demolishes OAT and Borealis. 99calad should be the best or second best weapon on things that would start with 300tp(namely voidwatch, but a few other situations may apply). Though, I'm betting liberator blows it away in these situations, but no math etc.

At least i know now in case i ever decide to hop on the ragwagon Leviathan.Comeatmebro

That's the inevitable direction that comment turns it, though.
Ragnarok costs less than 99 Caladbolg, does more damage in the majority of situations, and can be used on an additional job. Any guide should include that, since it's absurd to recommend players spend the gil on a Caladbolg for any reason(especially if you consider how plate market is looking lately). Well, some may argue that if you have spent your gil making a Caladbolg 99 instead of Ragnarok 99 chances are that you aren't intelligent enough to compete with a Borealis/OAT GS DRK.

Austar, looking in that set now. Bigsyke: I really only had a general set of gearsets in mind for now, but I'll be looking at high-acc/low-acc situation setups. And yes, I'll be giving credit to those who have the gearsets I provided. Ya because building the strongest voidwatch weapon in the game makes someone stupid :( Quetzacoatl said: » Curty: That's what I meant when I said it can contend with the both of them, lol Austar, looking in that set now. Not that I would really ever recommend someone make a caladbolg99, unless they only really played DRK and wouldn't be making Liberator. Plates are 110k+ to get anything beyond singles from shouts you were present at on Leviathan. There are rarely over 150 total in upper jeuno, some of which have been sitting for days. Generally see less than 3 voidwatch shouts a day. I actually concluded that the easiest way to 99 my ukon would be to 8box qilin and allow anyone that'd sell me pouches to leech(to take advantage of existing voidstones, as dust is also extremely limitted). I have plenty of gil, the plates just aren't there. |
