Ah btw i am just 2 % over haste cap with my set. You need to have 26% on Haste i heared to capp it. So will Koga +2 legs still better than AF3 +2 Legs?

I think you need Crit+4% and STP+2 minimum on Byakko's Haidate for it to be better without marches. Don't quote me on that, I haven't done the math fully.

If you're using it, Usukane Sune-ate would be better though.

Shouldn't it also depend on your dDEX? If the 15 dDEX shoots you into the last part of the dDEX <-> Crit Rate function, it could be worth up to 6% crit rate.

I mean, obviously you can't prepare for that, but it's worth considering I'd think.

Don't use Hasty Pinion. And you're much better off using Rancor or even a Wivre Gorget with +2 Crit. rate if that's an option, at least on higher level content.

And the reason the cap of the "Haste + DW delay reduction is higher than 80%" is because it's (1- Haste)*(1- DW) >= .20. No addition. <.<

I wasnt trying to say addition lol. I meant The combination of the two not that it was the forumla. Additionally, i have found that when i am parsing against other melee me weakness comes from how long it takes me to get to 100 tp vs them. So explain to me why increasing the crit damage on my melee swings is better then my delay going from like 170 to 150 something with 2 more haste? Note: I do have as much crit as possible for ws.. not dumb enough to ignore that side....

I've recently come back from a long break (since the 99 update came out). My TP set is looking like:

Hi set:

What upgrades should I be looking for? I'm working on relic+2 hands/feet currently. What would be the best offhand to work towards to upgrade from oiran/kamome?

Atheling Mantle, Koga Tekko +2, Koga Hakama +2 (barring high haste buffs) for TP; Atheling Mantle, Koga Kyahan +2, Ocelomeh Headpiece/+1 for WS with the eventual possibility of Athos's Tabard + Boots. STR Arisui (99 version of Sekka).

STP-5 and critrate-5% might have something to do with it too.

Atheling mantle for tp/ws, Koga tekko +2, koga hakama +2 whenever not capping delay reduction, ocelomeh headpiece/+1(Perfect shura +1 augments are better if you are gaining nothing from the dex I believe), as well as koga kyahan +2.

I'll get working on that str katana then. Would the hakama +2 be worth it even if I have near-perfect augment on byakkos (assuming I don't want to use a shinobi ring)?

Hakama +2 is still best even if not using shinobi ring, outside of high haste situations anyways.

I can't see how this will be better. Most of the time you will be w/o the rings haste. I am rarely at yellow HP. It's either red from a big hit or at 100% after a cure. By the time you have macro'd HP down and get back into attack gear the whm would have more than likely have already started casting cure. Thank you for the advise though.

The ***?

At above: read this page. Shinobi's a bonus. If your WHM can't fathom the idea of an HP latent, don't use the ring.

I love those whms that will buff themselves/cure themselves out of yellow hp as you're literally dying in front of them. Or as you're dying you see "player name starts casting Bio on the monster name"

Oh yes, I guess change the neck or ammo, im sure there's better necks than that, ammo are pretty lowkey.

Fixed, but that neck is somewhat out of reach for the commonfolk, including me lol.
But i'm aimin really high with it :/

Nope. 3% DW < 5% DW and the other stats aren't enough to compensate.

You're giving up 5 STP, 3 attack, and 5 critdmg for 0.3% haste. What exactly makes you think this is a good idea? It's not even good for TP if you're getting the full 1%.

And you're still using the wrong offhand.

Gear haste caps at 256/1024, or a clean 25%. Most gear is slightly below the advertised % (items of 1% and 6%+ have slightly more), so 25% gear haste is usually in the 250-254/1024 range. So yeah, adding 1% to reach 26% only adds a fraction of a %. Still terrible regardless though as I said, so that's no excuse.

And yes, wrong offhand. For any build.
