Windows 7 Blurred Text

Hi, I've installed windows 7, but now when I log onto FFXI the text is fuzzy and unreadable, tried changing many settings and also tried changing the background res in registry, but can't seem to get rid of the fuzziness, if anyone has any suggestions on a fix for this i'd really appreciate it.

That'll be your Graphics card most likely, if u got a ATI or Nvidia change the settings in the controll panel

Oh, you can also install one of the GUI packs that people have made to change FFXIs default font, just google "FFXIStyle" and it should show it makes the text alot clearer

What are your resolution settings?

Thanks for the responses, with res set to 1280x1024 which is my monitor's native setting, background is 1920x1526 game is looking nice, although now it is no longer in windowed mode lol.

I'm not sure it thats a typo, but if you are going for 1.5x the res, it should be 1536 not 1526.

If possible its best to go 2x res. 2560x2048

Depends on how well you pc can support that.

I'm getting this same issue and i've read numerous threads about how to fix it to no avail.

I'm currently on win7 as well, my desktop settings is 1680 by 1050 (widescreen if it matters) so doubled my background res , used the standard native res, and played with others like 2048 by 2048, still nothing. Using windower and I have ffxi config set to 'window mode' (i always have it like this since i want window mode, never had problems before with win xp)

Any thoughts? Thanks much appreciated
