I regret this game being brought into the world also. I never under why everyone acts like this is somehow god's gift to the video gaming world.
EDIT: Reasons why I never liked it.
-Storyline felt ungodly slow out of Migard
-Character development was pretty weak
-Gameplay wise, I didn't feel like there was anything really new to the series
-Battles felt ungodly slow

I was expecting much more fallout when I said I hated resident evil 4 and 5.
He's already said he hated 7 though... Now he's just trying to be contentious.

I kind of loved the story. :( I got all teary-eyed when Aeris died OK?! :b
Oh no, there were parts of the storyline that were incredibly well written, and the music was incredible, but all in all it was an incredible game, but a mediocre FF.

I don't dislike the game either but I do regret playing it since I bought it due to everyone going nuts when I asked about it.
Honestly, I think the furthest I got was disc 2 then I lost all interest in it due to how slow the game felt in more ways than one.

Also, another game I just found in my collection I wish I never played:
I'll admit I loved Wii Sports and I was hoping this would be similar to it, but it's pretty god awful. Thankfully the 2nd remote was at least a good deal.

My personal beef is that FF7 had alot of glitches and grammatical errors. Not to mention The annoying "Sephiroth made me do it." I was literally yelling at my TV, first time I played through "LET SOMEONE ELSE HOLD THE BLACK MATERIA, YOU ***BISCUIT!!" There was also Cloud, don't get me wrong, he was a cool character at first, but he was pretending to be Zack. He starts out a former SOLDIER and ends up an emo ***. But that's just the way I see it.

Okay, one last one before I get ready to leave and to prove I'm not bashing FF7:
If you can't make it out, the game is Final Fantasy II. While some love it, I found the growth system a very painful and mind numbing process.
Pandemonium music in the PSX/PSP remakes was pretty good though.

@kojo - eh, thats just nitpicky but Cloud did annoy me at times, but it was refreshing to me because it wasnt a "gold-hearted hero comes up and has no flaws."
I love that Cloud was a fake and a little emo, it give him character and even made the story better for me that this guy is going through a journey that isnt his.
I dont mind people not liking FF7, its those people who try to say "FF8 was the greatest ever cause i said so" who are the stupid ones. I said FF8 was horrid and got hit with the "no, ff7 sucks" bladestorm

I'll refrain from comments about it's mediocrity until there is a point mentioned that is actually discussable.
I can understand how some people might not like the game and I recognize there are many things about final fantasy 7 that are far from perfect.
Doesn't stop me from liking it, just like 8's flaws don't prevent people from liking it.
I'm an arguer, I like to argue. Sometimes I get a little narrowminded. I can admit it, though.

Because you made comparisons between the both, then failed to explain why it was good further than it was the first to do many things.
