Both DATs got blown up this update :( Unsure if it was just an overwrite based on file check or anything actually added. 57 looks like just an overwrite.
made a ROM\119\51.dat that uses condensed 2 vanilla hd font and vanilla chat font, but this one has no master stars at all.

If I moved the macro bars to be where they are on most other games, would it be too big of a change? Considering putting it above the top of where the normal chat boxes stop (8) Do people still use the small macro boxes for anything (steamdeck?)?

I've just flipped to xivhotbar and eschew in-game entirely. Would love the option to hide them (or move off screen) if you started playing with it.
Edit: even on the deck, used xivhotbar fwiw. Another vote to be able to hide it outright via a toggle.
Your placement is within the spot where I put my crossbar. I feel like for those without it you chose a perfect spot. Alternatively if it's even possible, 2 vertical macro bars next to the menu (top right) might be a good open space. EDIT: I don't use steamdeck so this as pc player opinion. I'm also seeing moving the bar to the right in regular old PC version ffxi as a QoL change now that i look at my hud since default space covers the ingame buffs when there's enough space for them to not do that. How does Xivhotbar work, is it just a visual overlay or does it do all the skill/spell activations too?
Yes to both, along with macro (not the ingame ones) support, help text when highlighting with a mouse,recast time, and so on for xivhotbar2.
I think I'd use the macro palette more if it were positioned in that way, as long as it didn't interfere with the chatboxes or was easily user-configurable to arbitrarily place it.

Made the menus bigger for spells, abilities, ws, trusts etc. spaced stuff out more and made the images bigger.

Not finished yet, still making other icons and updating other stuff.
The hotbar from Ashita is prettier, leaving you the choice to set multiple pages depending on wich button you hit. i miss that on the windower one.

Dumb question but is this for both Ashita & Windower4? As I can’t seem to get the menus or Fonts running correctly is something over riding each other or clashing? I have the log in screen menu looking awesome but I don’t see those new magic icons or new map over haul?

It's a modification of the original files, windower or ashita is irrelevant. The things above is stuff I'm still working on and haven't finished.

Getting rid of all those big text and stars everywhere. Would you mind sharing how you removed star from the dat, since most other text mod dont remove them ? non of the links work anymore and also is there to pick and choose what icons you want?
