Omen Findings
Oh, looking at the JP wiki, it says the person with the 5 KI's needs to be the one to actually enter omen so be careful about that (though most groups everyone would probably just have it I guess).
Looks like it uses Royal Decree

Drops were the rdm item and 2 of the crafting item. Oh boy sounds like fun time getting all the gear
We'll try it tonight and report back. To the people wondering how we had all beads, we got an extra KI from a box and 3 KI up the first time we met up.
Anybody noticing something strange on normal mobs for Magic objectives? Like the 15k non-mb nuke?
Myself and another LS mate (both Idris GEOs) had issues doing more than 15k even with BoG/EA Malaise, facing East and Collimated Fervor. We never ever ever ever had issues, last 2 runs we failed twice. Maybe it's just a coincidence, I'm asking just to see if SE *** up something with ninjastuff or not. Maybe it's just a coincidence and we used wrong element on wrong mob.
Not sure what cyl was doing but I did Thunder 5 on a Leech on floor 2, facing East, with collimated Fervor, BoG/EA Malaise, Acumen, /WHM sub, no frazzle, no Pear Crepe, and shield accidentally locked out because I failed. With all of this I did like... 11k. With a setup like this before march patch I would've easily broke 15k, by far. Tried again with another element which I can't remember (Blizzard?) swapping Acumen for Focus and I did even less -.- Again, maybe it's just a coincidence, but we never had issues in like 3 months of runs, bit strange that we both have the same issue on the same day in 2 consecutive and different runs. If any of your equipment has magic burst damage augments and you are using gearswap it may no longer be equipping. See http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/50535/3717-addon-updates#3240119 Could try //gs validate Sylph.Reain said: » @sechs If any of your equipment has magic burst damage augments and you are using gearswap it may no longer be equipping. With the monster level being still fairly high, you might be bellow m.acc cap and running into partial resists.

At least for the frogs just before Gin my kitted out REMA BRD sees a decent number of resists. Not sure if that's only because frogs have some light resist or higher mag eva, but it means he's not completely outgearing even the trash mobs and he's a nigh maxed out BRD. Fenrir.Jumeya said: » With the monster level being still fairly high, you might be bellow m.acc cap and running into partial resists. I even tried to swap from Acumen to Focus for a second nuke, and it did even less than the first as I explained before XD I've been doing Omen since pretty much the beginning, got 4x +3 pieces done and several +2, it's not like it was one of my first runs. But then again since nobody else is reporting strange issues I guess it had to be just a strange coincidence and a mixture of several causes: some of my gear was locked, I didn't have pear crepes up, I was probably using the wrong element on those leeches and should've picked something else. (altough that's strange... aren't leeches normally water-based and weak to Thunder? Because thunder 5 is the first element I used Offline

Frogs have redunk light resist. Was able to the land 15k+ without MB objective using BLU (dark nuke, had non-Idris malaise acumen and wizzy roll) on the transcendent frog so non-light elements aren't bad. And Subduction was only a little less than the other mobs with their naturally high mdef. Offline

We accidentally took the wrong portal last night so we ended up doing a near 18-man Gin run -_- It seems from what I've read that you need to choose the small light (farming card route) and after defeating all the mobs you'll get an option to select Ou (providing you have all 5 Bead KI's). We're going to try again tonight. Offline

Some japanese have beaten Ou on various servers, including Bahamut. One of them is in our Ls. I'm not really understanding everything he is saying to me but this is what he said:
It can use any and all of the former Caturae (Fu, Gin, Kin, Kei, Kyou), unsure if they are randomly picked or in a set order, special moves and he saw the following~ ~95%~Did Fu's Absorb move ~75%~Did Kyou's Needle move ~60%~Did Kei's Move ~55%~It leveled up, and you could see his Hp bar finally ~45~It used Gin's move ~30%~used Kin's Target (no mention of death sentence at any time by my Jp friend but we can assume Ou has access to it). ~15% an AoE terror move, avoidable at ~20 yalms ~10% used a new move: Ou gains 10% HP in health, and you have 30 seconds to kill it or it will reset the entire fight. Not sure if anyone has tried Ou yet in the NA/EU communities, I haven't kept up on the forums, but i guess this is some information we can use. I think we're trying him tonight, we finally got our mules the KIs. Will post what we see/etc. Edit: there were a few other things he told me, but i didn't quite understand them, regardless i think we're going around 10pm est, so I'll post something at some point tonight. He also said It was harder than the other 5, but not terribly bad. I believe they went in with more than 1 party though. My guess is 2 standard tank/dd/buff/buff/buff/healer parties. Asura.Avallon

I knew this was going to be the case. It will make for a good fight. As I posted above, we tried to go last night but picked the wrong portal on accident. We're taking multiple parties also. EDIT: Holy crap. Is this true? Resetting the fight if not defeated within 30 seconds of the new exclusive Ou move screams zerg. This means we'll have to save our 1 hours throughout the entire fight until the very last 10%. Good times. Sylph.Braden

The new WS should be Gardez and Prophylaxis. Also I'm totally expecting one or both to include self-buffs or full erase or whatever because *** you.
We didn't go last night because someone couldn't be on before gain exp, but will be trying tonight instead. We have a couple shots at it because we filled up a second party with mules.
Good news! A friend got the nodowa from a gobbie key. He's selling so get it while it's hot. The above info on Ou is accurate, we basically "almost" killed him 4x last night. I would add to notice/test, in between each special he might take on the mechanics/moves of that NM as well, as as it does seem to have less HP, we were skipping sometimes an entire phase so couldnt test that accurately. ie: after Kin special a WS during its tp move healed it once...
Enjoy the fight Lakshmi.Buukki

Quote: ~10% used a new move: Ou gains 10% HP in health, and you have 30 seconds to kill it or it will reset the entire fight. GG. Would be a tall task for a 6-man party. Looks like a job for at least 12 players, 2 tanks, and some solid DD action. Sounds like a really fun fight, though. You asked for more alliance content, and we got it. How is his non-special damage output? Is a tank required or can a melee go in with a hybrid set and be ok? Is the order it uses the other caturae's tp moves always the same?

Enjoy the fight Thanks for the confirmation. Can you answer a few questions? Can you add any data points to the order and HP % of the special moves? Does he gain damage taken + from using Fu's special? And what if any 2hrs have you seen him use? Bahamut.Lexouritis

Apparently he does take on the mechanics of the NM he uses the special move from (AKA Fu absorb= takes more dmg) but Avero probably knows better, my info is 2nd hand as we haven't fought it yet

I'm trying to imagine a setup where you could have the support, mage power, and enough DD to deal that much damage and defense over the course of a fight and still make out. I guess 2 great DD BRD/GEO Tank/Healer, but that'd be messy right around Kei's TP move. |
