But whatever it is, it matters and because of that I suggest to always kill everything regardless, unless you're tight on time remaining. Yeah, that doesn't actually work.
We fell victim to SE's Omen troll last night. Cleared boss, proceeded to exit <excitement> we got a chest floor. Great news right? It was until we let the DRK pick the box and all got the fabulous reward of 124 gil. Best. Troll. Ever.
we killed fu last week got his ring then got a chest floor with 3 chest and got his ring again and his necklace

Recently returned to XI with some family member, we've been away from the game for approximately 3 years now. Were once hardcore endgame but returning as somewhat casual-midcore for the time being. After 2 months or so we are finally able to tackle some of the relevant content to be gear enough for Omen. Most of us duo-box/trio-box for omen with multiple semi-geared mules. And encountering issues with Kin. Have only attempted Fu and Kin so far. Have Fu easily farm while encountering issues with Kin.
Our comp for Kin is: REM-BRD/WHM (mule), BLU, SAM, GEO, Mythic-WHM (mule), REM-PLD GEO + PLD isnt Master JP, roughly 400-600JP each. Our issue with Kin isn't significantly damage wise but sustaining issues. Would have roughly 10-15mins left when we drop it to 20-25%. From 100 to 25% is a run in the park. But once Kin has access to "Interference" we seem to get our butts kicked. A rotation of Interference > Malign Invocation and our DPS would be nearly dead or 6feet under. Even with Vex/Attune up. And due to the limited KI daily, we havent gotten much time to test out Kin as much as we would like to, hence we rather expend the ki to farm gears, so we just proceeded to farm Fu for the time being. Just curious what everyone do to deal with Kin @25% > 0 on Kin. Try using Dark Carol, keep Frailty usage and entrust attune for under 25% and see how that goes. Also make sure any DD's swap in a DT set for Interference and run to the WHM for a re-shell since Interference dispels.

Yeah, was planning to do carol on next attempt, but was trying to see if there was anything else that we were missing that could be done to mitigate Interference. Since at most we roughly only attempted it about 3 times thus far. Offline

Just curious what everyone do to deal with Kin @25% > 0 on Kin. This applies to every melee in every content, if you find survivability an issue, lock your neck to Loricate +1 and ring to Dring. Since the change to geomancy, Vex/Attune are less effective than Fade. Try Fade + whatever you want.
While people are buffing, I put Indi-Fade on myself. I run in with the tank. Once it is in position, I will BoG + EA a Geo-Fade. Then I put Indi-Frailty on myself. The Geo-Fade usually lasts until I decide to kill and change it, but I have an Idris and a max bubble-regen set. YMMV. At 35-31%, I put Indi-Fade back up on myself and kill my Geo-Fade. I Bolster and drop a Geo-Fade, put Indi-Frailty back up and then Entrust whatever. It might be Indi-Refresh. It might be Indi-Dex if we brought a Thf. It's Bolster time, so might as well use something. If Kin will still be alive after Bolster, I put Indi-Fade on myself while Bolster is still active. Then I do another BoG + EA Geo-Fade as soon as bolster is over. Indi-Frailty and it'll be dead right quick. TLDR; Fade is the new Vex/Attune. 1) Dark Carols + Vex render most of caturae JA's ineffective,
2) Save Bolstered Vex (attune too if you're non-idris) for <25%, 3) Turtle in -dt/meva sets during JA's/AoE Spells, 4) Sacrosanctity/Asylum are great too in a pinch. Fade will help versus Meteor for sure, if you can spare the bubble. Fenrir.Cherrywine

I don't think we've ever brought a Brd to Kin. Usually we do Geo + Cor and Fade manages everything.
This is likely because Kin is usually beating on the Aegis Pld, so the only danger to the DDs is Meteor. Since Dakrone is bringing a Brd anyway, you can probably move the buffs/debuffs around until you find a good combo. But definitely use Fade. I hope the suggestions help! They're making some really odd job divisions on gear recently.
Also, 40 STR hands that I can't wear on anything. FFFFFFF. And holy ***at that HP+. Less than C path souv+1, but more than anything but that. Oooh I missed the insane HP value on the hands. But is it gonna good for anything other than WSs?
HP becomes that much useful on a tanking job, but on the ones listed it's kinda more... icing on the cake than something really that directly useful? I guess for DRK's souleater maybe? I dunno, aside from the raw STR they don't seem incredibly appealing to me. Lakshmi.Buukki

Good Dread Spikes macro piece, and this boasts higher STR/ACC than HQ argosy hands. The lack of attack is inconsequential for DRK, since it has the highest level of Smite. Depending on the zanshin/oat/multiattack property on the additional effect, it may even replace the DA3 from argosy hands, making this a pretty rock solid Resolution piece for DRK, and WAR by extension. The additional HP is great for tanking on DRK when everyone else is dead (drain 3 full HP/DT set). And given the fact that DRK has a total of.... what was it 8 ACCURACY IN TOTAL GIFTS (not a typo), these hands have DRK written all over it. Offline

DRG has access to SmiteII, the same tier that MNK has.

Bring your mules along for the clears of the 5 Bosses. Then use their KIs up one after the other to enter Ou. I guess there's always the option to "sell" your 5-KI entry to sellers who want to do more Ou.
