This is the most active the blm forms have been in years. I have to admit, it's nice to see this discussion. Even if it is a bit heated, there's some really good info here. The summary of the last few pages is that we've been fussing over 3 slots in the grid, and in the end the differences appear to be fairly small
ItemSet 380385
Head -- Ea hat +1 and R25 Agwu's are both very comparable
Neck -- Quanpur and Stole +2 are actually pretty close when you're nuking earth.
Feet -- Like the head, R25 Agwu's and Wicce +3 are both very comparable
Depending on your buffs, the target, and the spell tier the outcome can go either way with either of the listed head and feet options. As long as you're using one of them you should be perfectly fine. Also, bunzi's rod + ammurapu shield is better for pure damage, but marin +1 and enki allows myrkr. And if you don't have wicce earring +2 you use regal earring in its place until you do.
That pretty much summarizes everything over the last few pages. The gains from swapping between the pieces listed isn't very big, and at that point your groups coordination is going to matter far more than which choice you made for the slots. Magic bursting requires teamwork, and if your group is synergizing well you'll be just fine.

How does Laev stack into the mix? With 2990 TP AM2 active, it's:

How does mythic slot into this? Does it change the optimal gear any at all?
From my layman's point of view, it looks like with AM2 up, Laev is still on top, unless the INT drop is that significant.

Laevetinn is better. If you have the mythic, you use the mythic. Simple as that. You don't even need to bother doing the math. Trust me, it wins. It's not a common mythic for people to build though. That's why it's been omitted from discussion thus far.

Laev does more damage with less magic accuracy, but all options can cap damage. Laev does guarantee that you have the extra -10 MDB which means you don't need weather for Laev, but even just single weather all can cap without the -10 from ws
Mythic is also more annoying to use

Hah! That actually makes me feel better it's that close. The Ea Slops +1 set that you found is literally my current MB set, except with Laev. So I can trade that up and get 30m on the side and not feel bad about that lol.

I don't know what your total values are or the INT for Ongo you're using there, so I can't say where you went wrong.
I believe the set I used in the calculation you are quoting is 667, 441 mDMG, and 580 MAB. -32 MDB from vido hunir and geo is why you divide by 0.68.

For this particular scenario, you don't need any Ea on BLM. I took them out of the option list and you can still easily cap damage. These are also without weather as well, so even with just one storm, you have a lot of freedom for gearing.

The mob has -32 MDB? (100-32)/100 = 0.68

I believe the set I used in the calculation you are quoting is 667, 441 mDMG, and 580 MAB. -32 MDB from vido hunir and geo is why you divide by 0.68. Curious why we would Multiply M.Dmg • MAB/MDB then / by that same number moving the decimal 1 to the left. Because the set has 580 MAB? 1+580/100 = 6.8
The mob has -32 MDB? (100-32)/100 = 0.68
How many times do you need to see this before you get it? So you calculated such after the fact not during MAB/MDB equation.

cMAB = 1 + (caster Magic Attack Bonus ÷ 100)
1+(580/100) = 6.8
tMDB = 1 + (target Magic Defense Bonus ÷ 100)
1+(-32)/100) * 0.68
You are getting different numbers because you are doing different numbers.

It's been a while since I have outright geared my blm to what the math tells us is BIS, so I have a few questions I was hoping the community could help with?
I currently only have V15 clears and therefore access to R20 agwu gear. I also only (so far) have access to the +2 black mage empyrean armor. I also only have access to R20 Bunzi's rod. I have all of the other gear discussed in the previous pages.

How does it look when above is run @ML 30 with staff locked, and +3 Empy? I think this may be more realistic. Empy has been easier to obtain than V20 clears for most. Also the ML lvs past 30 are massive. I think this might be more an average scope of player obtainable gear/ML going into Ongo V20.

MBing on say, Boss E or F in Sortie, and V20 Ongo? Nobody ever mentions such but I highly recommend buying Mpaca Staff for the Accuracy vs High End content then open up vs Sortie &/or Ongo v20 via using Shattersoul w/ 3000tp even if using Bunzi/Kei combo. If you know something more Accurate then just use that. Mpaca Staff was EZ enough to get & find purpose w/ using.
You cannot use TP on BLM anyways for neither Myrkr via having Club equipped nor would I even bother w/ doing Club WS cuz Club WS Debuff pales in comparison to Staff WS advantages.
I have seen many Bunzi/Kei uploads vs Ongo not even thinking of using Shattersoul whatsoever which seriously doesn’t make any sense at all so yeah. Figured I would mention such. You gonna have that 3000tp anyways to begin w/ so might as well use it wisely.
Once I finally realized we LOSE both Myrkr and Shattersoul Debuff via equipping Bunzi/Kei combo I knew immediately I was making myself a Laevateinn asap. Going w/o Mythic on BLM makes everything more Difficult so yeah. Mythic it is.
Now I just Full-Time AM2 easy enough w/ Debuff up more often than not.

Thanks again! I just checked against V20 Ongo, sortie bosses have different resistance ranks and higher m.acc requirements.
