Ths Shadowlord came to be from a pact made with Odin by the dying Raogrimm.
Atomos is a supreme being controlling the space-time continuum on behalf of Altana.
Hades is some dude who got superpowers by taking a trip to the underworld and wants to bring darkness on Vana'diel. I'd bet he's another one of Odin's ideas, but the game doesn't say so it's speculation.

Yes it was Odin. He did about the same thing with Luzaf, he was dying and made a pact to be revived to exact vengeance on Aht Urhgan.

I have a few of my old linkshell killing Fafnir etc those are the one's I'm looking for.
