Huh, the more you know. I wonder if that acetaminophen stuff is the reason why whenever I take DayQuil or anything similar, I feel 10 times worse.

Not to get in a big argument over this or anything, but technically the FDA Alert is for Pure Powdered Caffeine, not BC powder.

Something that the FDA alert mentions is that a teaspoon of this pure caffeine is the equivalent of 28 cups of coffee, looking here it looks like a pure caffeine powder product being sold has 4706mg of caffeine per teaspoon.

Here it states that an 8oz cup of coffee has about 95-165mg of coffee, and if you do the math and you're using the larger amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee (165mg) it looks like the above number of 4706mg is about accurate(165*28=4620). If you want to use 95x28 as your "28 cups of coffee" base, then you would end up with around 2660mg, which is still a lot of caffeine.

Checking the info on BC Powder you'll see that they contain 65mg of caffeine, a much smaller amount than your average cup of coffee.

I'm not saying that anybody should have too much caffeine, but the FDA warnings you're citing are only relevant (in regards to caffeine) if you take a ***load of BC powder, and I would assume that you'd reach a "***load" of aspirin much sooner than a "***load" of caffeine with BC powder, since the original formula has 845mg of aspirin according to the website.

First of all. If you don't want to get into an argument then I advise you to shut the hell up!!!

Second the warning is in regards to Powdered Caffeine and guess what kind of caffeine is in BC Powder!?.....yeah... THE POWDERED KIND!!!

It's weird how that works sometimes...yeah... hmmmm..

Now. Here is a simple math problem even for you. If you are already at the maximum amount of caffeine your heart can handle what happens if you add 65mg more of fast acting Powdered Caffeine?

You either didn't read what you linked or have trouble comprehending it.

Obviously adding 65mg if you're near or at your limit is dangerous, but the problem with powdered caffeine is how consumers measure it and how much they take, something you don't need to do with BC powder.

And because you're saying that due to that FDA warning on pure caffeine powder causing accidental overdoses being your reasoning as to why BC Powder is bad, due to it's use of pre-measured powdered caffeine, you may as well say that coffee, energy drinks, soda, tea, or anything with caffeine in it should be avoided due to a chance of accidental caffeine overdose.

I agree that caffeine overdose is something that should be avoided, and I can see why the FDA is concerned with people buying bags of caffeine powder in bulk on the internet, but it has nothing to do with the caffeine being in powdered form and everything to do with people accidentally consuming too much of it. You'd have the same thing happen if you were to accidentally drink 100 cups of coffee in a day. Well, you'd either die or gain sone sort of super agility.

If you agree that caffeine overdose is something that should be avoided, then why in Altana's name would you recommend a certified caffeine junkie who is always at 400% maximum caffeine capacity to take even more!?!?

Are you that stupid?

Or

Are you trying to ursurp the throne through murder!

J'ACCUSE!

One could assume that no one on this site is always at 400% maximum caffeine capacity, as they would likely be dead if that was the case

I got sun poisoning today and a sick kid to take care of. (Not related he has an ear infection).

I've never been this dehydrated. It literally hurts my fingers to open a bottle. I'd rage over this but that too would hurt.

It's like having the flu but your skin is crisp.

Sun poisoning doesn't really mean you've been poisoned. It is often the term used for a severe case of sunburn. This is usually a burn from ultraviolet (UV) radiation that inflames your skin.

Basically think heat exhaustion + Severe sunburn, at least that's what I grasped from the description of symptoms usually associated with using this term instead of just sunburn.

Glad I'm not alone in this... I'm broke until friday.

Worse yet, the hotel hasn't charged my account yet so I'm not 100% where my money is actually sitting which annoys the hell out of me cause I know for sure my account is low on funds but I can't tell how low until they charge. x.x

But... at least I got a sweet jacket...

Never assume because you make an *** out of U and ME...
but mostly you.

pdf from fda

According to the FDA the average and safe daily max caffeine intake is 200mg (about two cups of coffee) and anything over that, you are taking a risk.

I don't know about everyone else but I am currently operating at about 800mg or so by breakfast!

So then we use this new thing called math and if 200mg is 100% then 800mg is 400%...

So bask, once again, in the joyful light you find in being wrong.
