Charis+2 has 6% haste. That's the main reason to stick with Charis.
His question was until he gets Charis+2 ^^

Just kind of experimenting:
What do you all think of a build like this (Designed for crit damage + crit rate) for high attack situations on Evisceration (Berserk), outside: Critical Hit Rate + ~20% Critical Attack Bonus + 14% (+25% with traits) You'll be dropping crits like you are the Elite Four and I am on my last pokemon.

Mmm... I personally will wait until the era where 80% crit rate should be easily attainable (just like back in the old days thumb rule: eat atk food only if you reach 80% hit rate). Currently crit build should only be effective in Abyssea. If I come back to FFXI I'm leveling DNC because of your guide Sylow.
I didn't even think about TP bonus moonshade, I wonder how much crit it's actually worth?
The main reason I was inspired for this is because Evis basically shits on Exenterator in VW when Champion's tonic is up. I don't think it's actually viable though, I was mostly just messing around to see how high i could push it. If it's 10% at 100TP and 40% at 300TP (25% at 200TP), the TP Bonus Moonshade would be worth 3~4% Crit rate. That's what I use.
What's a good pair of TP/WS sets I can buy to get me started while I farm seals/+2 items?
When I come back this is going to be my personal goal, level and gear my Dancer and go to town! I have Phurba/Twilight/Auric daggers stored and ready, and I think the AF3+1 hat/legs/feet...will need to check if/when I get back on. EDIT: For TP, I'm 100% sure I have the following gear: For WS, I have Loki's Kaftan, no gorgets, no ele belts. What would I need? Well, while yuou farm seals/+2 items, the main question you should be asking yourself is would you really want to do that on DNC?
Bismarck.Sylow said: » Well, while yuou farm seals/+2 items, the main question you should be asking yourself is would you really want to do that on DNC? Well, I do have THF WHM BLM NIN etc, but none of them are exceptionally geared except WHM, and I'm usually stuck very much solo. I lost faith in shout groups a long time ago :/ Also in regards to dagger selection, Oynos Knife caught my eye. Out of what I already have, what would be the best to pair with Oynos? I -might- start on a Twashtar, though I doubt it. I started an Almace but realistically I don't see myself finishing it. why not? dnc + blm is a fairly decent combo
you COULD be hardcore and go dnc/nin with all ninjutsu if your lazy and dont wanna level nin Oynos is only good if you don't have a mage to haste you, and even then, only until it procs, at which point you should switch to a better dagger.
A few pages back I go over the best non-"HQ" dagger combinations. As far as Abyssea armor item farming, you should really just save yourself some sanity and do it on one of your "abyssea" jobs. It'll be more efficient and you can get out of that shithole faster. Bismarck.Sylow said: » As far as 'Easy to Obtain' (aka "Dancer is my hobby not my career", or "I'm working on getting one of the top choices, but I'm going to use these until then") dagger combos, I'd probably say the following combinations are best: 1.) Fire Thokcha / Fire Thokcha (+22 STR +44 Attack) 2.) Lux Pugio / Fire Thokcha (+10 DEX +11 STR +22 Attack CritR+4%) 3.) Fire Thokcha / Store TP Centovente (+11 STR + 22 Attack STP+15) 4.) Lux Pugio / Store TP Centovente (+10 DEX CritR+4% STP+15) My order may be off, so I'd like it if I could get some comments. Edit: Serj claimed this post was lacking in sparkles and glitter, so here: Yeah I just found and read over that lol.
Looking over the Thokcha Trials now. I did a pair of PDT axes for BST and I'm stuck about halfway thru the 2nd pixie stage of my Cure Staff....I swore I'd never do Magians again, but if those are the best daggers I can get without making an Emp/Mythic/Relic, I'll tough them out. The path doesn't -look- too difficult. *knocks on wood* EDIT: Looks like a lot can be done in Cape Terrigan. The Flan section sounds nightmarish >< you'll just go through a lot of this:
this can be a useful tool though for finding weather if it's predicted
you'll notice that fire weather is seasonal Anyway, enough dicking around with experimenting with crit rate +, this is probably the best you can do for Evisceration outside of Abyssea at the moment:
I may be missing something, so comments are appreciated! Moonshade is TP Bonus (+3-4% critR) Phoenix.Lillicarnage said: » You'll be dropping crits like you are the Elite Four and I am on my last pokemon. Someone who wants to be raped because everything I brought has Ice Beam.

Wearing Athos feet gives you 2/5 Athos for set bonus, eh?
It's no more than 2% per piece after the first, so I'm thinking the +6STR is better than +4 Dex +7 Acc.
/anxiously awaiting the next few sections of this guide!
+1~2 base damage and +3 Attack vs. +1 base damage and potential dDEX crit hit rate. I guess it depends what your dDEX is!
That set above has +81 dex.
VS. DC in Dyna, which I estimated to have 92-102 AGI, DDEX will be capped by default if your DEX is at least as good as a Hume. If you're not using Coruscanti offhand, and only have 90 Twashtar, if the mob has the max of 102 AGI, you'd still be pretty close. I don't have a good estimate for VWNMS, but I wouldn't think it's actually incredibly high. It doesn't really matter though, because Braver's likely offsets the difference. Why did you swap back Athos's tights to Tumbler trunks again? You are missing the 4% crit rate from the 1st Athos's pair (and 4% crit dmg).
It's no more than 2% crit rate per piece after the first.
