In fact if anything being able to put out good magic dmg with decent melee dmg is another good thing for blu as it makes it more versatile, I hope for your sake all your reasons to hate blu aren't actually reasons to like'em, like that one.

As for blu sword damage, I've found that since getting the Empyrean WS, I've switched to dealing most of my damage through sword swings, with spells becoming more secondary damage (Using RR/VV/MM atmas with Badelaire +2 and Antea +2 2-4 hit on sub). The beauty of it is that you can control where and when you want your damage depending on the situation.
I think if anything BLU lost versatility in Abyssea compared to pre-Abyssea. Unless you're mixing your atmas to benefit both physical and magical spells. I don't know much about BLU though.

imo PLD/DRK
pros:
wields the power of light and darkness
-DRK gives PLD a much needed attack boost, making it balanced
-can heal itself
-can do damage
-wields the power of all the elements thanks to DRK nukes
cons:
-pld wears dumb holy armor. spikes and black armor ftw ROFL
-holy isn't as strong as i thought it would be
-can't sneak/invis yourself (which is why you always demand it from mages)

You forgot the part where most of the DD damage of a BLU comes from spells and not swordchucks. I am sure VV would help offset that a good amount though.
Whats the big deal if its magic based or not? Dmg output is dmg output. Sure some mobs are resistant to magic, but others can be easily susceptible and/or even strong against physical dmg.
With knowledge of the job that question would not be necessary.

I'd say thf is one of the most useful jobs currently. It is very similar to monk in terms of tanking ability, and only falls a bit behind mnk/nin/war on the DD scale (when properly geared and atma'd) and on top of all that you get TH, enmity control, and a few yellow procs with /nin.

I haven't visited BG forums in forever. But curiousity. I don't have blu unlocked as well it might be worth noting. My onry jobs are PLD RDM BLM. BLM being main.

Do you have a 2nd account or something cause I see you only have 75s so im not even sure if you have been in abyssea.
Not to say that my jobs are all the most useful lol but DNC is pretty nice too.. although it's a little bit fruity, and a massive bandwagon job now. It can tank, DD, heal and adds support to a party.. The only problem with it being it has no unique qualities that justify it being in an alliance/party in abyssea. It's more of a novelty/solo job.

PLD has no use anymore to be honest, so there's a start. Since they've added atmas RDM and BLM nuking is somewhat on par with melees. BLM is a really good grellow trigger job. My friend is basically permanently BLM, while the other is WHM.
Also, calling *** on Spicey and not Buddhsie is kinda lame. He's right that they (BLU) can cover different tasks, but they will NEVER beat out one of the specialists.

They were good at 75 when directly compaired to snipers/rajas and I made sure of it before I spent the time. Do I need to go dig up the threads from when they just came out?
It is not like I was like Bart's DRG and used them. Then you have a case.
Actually, yes, could you please pull them up? Every thread I read up on said Rajas and an acc ring will out do them.
