That makes sense I suppose, damn you logic. @.@ Just gets annoying sometimes /sigh Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Caitsith.Zahrah said: » Phoenix.Sehachan said: » It's not really that. Some people feel ashamed of attempting to speak in another language if they're not sure if what they're about to say makes any sense. Same reason why I don't speak japanese to them, I could try, but I would probably not get a much better communication that way because of my shortcomings. This, and also, it's really hard to maintain the fluency of a language if you don't use it on a daily or monthly basis. Our case as well as theirs. We can't expect everyone to oblige us on the assumption that everyone knows proper English. Just because in most countries it's mandatory to take English in school, doesn't mean that they retain what they learned in grade school. This is why we have English from grade 3 to 9 (mandatory) and then 10-12 if you go to Gymnasium (like your high school) and sometimes university depending on what you choose. They should do the same here. Only one language is mandatory here. It's offered in middle school rather than elementary (I think they're changing that though), and you had to have a certain level of performance in state testing to be offered a foreign language class before HS. I wish we had stayed in Germany sometimes. My cousins' education was the same as yours. Mandatory English in elementary school, then a secondary in Gymnasium. LOL! My brother and I were both stuck in a speech therapy class in elementary school when my dad took a job back in the US, because my English was garbled with a German accent. I ended up finishing Spanish early, and since I met a boatload of the required curriculum by HS, it was either throw on French or take a Home Economics class. School here is so limited. TLDR; My German is poo now, because I don't use it unless it's for reading and/or writing, LOLFrench!, Spanish was probably the only practical language I learned in school, even though it's very basic. She's been dating this guy for 3 weeks, finds out he cheated on her and all she does now is posts "</3" shitty songs and all about how she wants to die because she was so in love. She's also 14. Shut. Up. Why are you following a 14 year old on facebook? Related? I know their family really well and I live 900 miles from where I grew up. I have a ton of people on my fb because it's more convenient to keep up with them and for them to keep up with me. The bf got me pizza btw lol was like god*** in my mouth. I'm twitchy about driving. Considering my first ever car accident was on my learner's permit and it involved my truck taking out the wall of the high school chemistry lab and spilling chemicals everywhere and needed dudes in safety suits to clean it up, well. I'm just not all that confident behind the wheel.
Today, though, I had to drive, and I had to go through a bank drive-through. EGADS! Drive-throughs! So many things for me to accidentally run into, they make me nervous! But it was ok, because the closest bank was empty. Not another car in sight in the drive-through, and there were 3 drive-up rows so even if two more people came while I was there, I could take my time because they'd have no need to pull into the same window that I was in. Right? WRONG. Stinking lady in a huge minivan probably on her 20-minute lunch break comes zooming up the millisecond I pull into my window, she checks out the situation with TWO empty windows, and she proceeds to pull up right behind me in my window and drum her fingers on her steering wheel while she waits. Other lady drivers, I swear. They make me nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. My own driving makes me nervous enough! No need to complicate it further! Of course, it's my own fault for feeling like I shouldn't ever hold up other people, so if someone is behind me in line I better be hauling bum. Right? If there are two empty lines and she pulls up to the ONE line that's occupied, it's her problem, right? :x Asura.Bluespoons

The growing overuse (and misuse) of the word "organic" grinds my gears. Organic used to be a term in chemistry referring to things that were relating to or contained carbon compounds. There were also the nearly-never-used "relating to a bodily organ" definition and the "forming a part of a whole" definition . Now organic means whatever the heck you want it to mean. When I was in dance, I had a choreographer tell me that the dance she was choreographing had to be choreographed very organically. What she meant was she wanted it to proceed naturally, she didn't want to force elements of dance into it. What she said was that she wanted the dance to contain carbon compounds. >.> Ok then. You can't even walk through the store without seeing "organic" this and "organic" that. What do they mean? "This apple was grown without pesticides which means we're clearly superior to you, haha!" What do they say? "This apple has carbon compounds, whee!" Ugh. I'm so sick of the word organic. If ever I wanted a word to just disappear out of everyone's vocabulary worldwide and never be mentioned again outside a classroom, it would be the word organic. Also, wearing cowboy boots as a fashion statement. Cowboy boots are for people who ride horses and shovel manure and grow food for everyone else and so on. They are also for people who are going to costume parties or out clubbing and want that 'sexy cowboy' persona. All well and good! But I swear to all that is good and holy if I see ONE MORE of my twitterpated gal pals squealing over how "adorable" cowboy boots look with wedding dresses! Look at them, silly girls. Look close: That is not 'adorable.' It looks like you got up early, went out feeding the cows and mucking the stalls, came inside in a rush and haphazardly threw on your wedding dress for the quick inconvenience of marrying your man, and didn't bother to clean your feet before rushing down the aisle in a flurry of white lace and manure. Seriously. Cute, my ***. I'm sure if I wasn't feeling so cranky it would be cuter. But for some reason, formal dresses with cowboy boots really drives me crazy (in a bad way.) Of course... I'm hardly one to talk. I walked down the aisle barefoot. My dress was so long that no one could see my feet anyways, plus I hate high heels and dress shoes, plus it was an outdoor wedding so we weren't really aiming for 'fancy.' Still, if I went barefoot then I don't suppose I can complain when my girl friends wear cowboy boots, even if I can't stand the look of it. /blush!
I'm so *** tired of a passive aggressive *** at my work. She dosnt tell you to do things(she isn't manager but used to be so has some pull still) instead she talks about it and baits you to talk back to her about it. Like tonight she comes up after she has clocked off and is leaving "I sat down on that corner table and got some sticky stuff on my bag!" Me: "uh huh." she baits you and its so *** annoying. I don't get why she dosn't just ask me politely "could you clean off that table? its a little sticky still."
Also tonight so she said all that ^ before she tipped me out. I go to take out the trash bag thats next to the cash register and she says heres your tip, the 4 dollars and there was a 5$ next to it for the dishwasher. I don't want to sound greedy or anything but the dishwasher NEVER gets tipped more than me(or the other busboy). She did that on purpose to notice that i got less. She also fish's for you to responce for example she walks over laughing or like "oh that was funny" and if you ask she tells you a whole story AND ITS NOT FUNNY AT *** ALL! Thanks for listening to me rant i needed that. I haven't seen Slipispsycho or Annika for ages, and that kind of grinds my gears.
Slip said he was going to stop coming to the site. And since Annika basically came to control him, she doesn't come either :p
Oh, I see! I'm glad they are both doing good then, that's good to know. :-)

Girly hair rant. Seriously, don't even click it if you are a guy, you'll be bored! Stupid can't make a concise decision about hair of all things. ._. Try pinning your hair up and seeing how it falls?
Pinning it up and seeing how it falls is worth a try.
